Not adoption related.
I've been feeling so negative lately (adoption stuff is always getting me down) and want to change that. A friend posted on FB about someone leaving popcorn, a note to enjoy a treat with her movie and a MN Kindness Project card at the redbox she went to today. I was inspired and decided I'm going to try to start doing random acts of kindness. :-)
We have a long drive out of town today and I am going to leave enough change for a soda on the vending machines at all of the rest stops we go to. Hopefully someone on long drive will enjoy the treat. :-)
Does anyone have other suggestions? Care to share random acts of kindness you've witnessed or been the recipient of?

I once had a student bring me a donut when I opened the library super early at a previous job. It was not a student I had recognized (and we had several regulars). When he handed me the bag, I thought he was asking me to hold onto it for him. Nope - it was for me! A thank you for working early hours so students had access. Made me grin huge all day long.
I try to do little things, like take out co-workers for a coffee when I can tell they are having a hard day. Let them vent, recollect, and get back to work.
