I woke up to 2 texts asking me to work different days this week. We are so short-staffed at the moment (due to generalized suckiness I'm sure). So I was definitely like
I wanna hang out in my PJs today and be lazy.
Good news is I got someone to trade me holidays at work, and we will be booking a trip to England over Memorial Day!
Day 1 at my new job. So far so good, but the guy whose supposed to be training me keeps taking off to do other things, so I'm staring at a cube wall. I have a feeling my day bumping will be limited.
Just taking it easy today. DD finally napped after being on a nap strike the last few days. Thinking about baking something this afternoon since its like 5 degrees outside. Anyone have any healthy dessert recipes?
I feel like this guy whose supposed to train me, really doesn't want to. He keeps going to "take care of something real quick" I'm sitting here staring at my notepad.
Also a little freaked about tomorrow since my type of work never shuts down and I think calling out the 2nd day of a job may make me a shit head.
Also, this guy keeps typing Your welcome in his emails. I don't want to be that girl but it's driving me crazy. And he ends every sentence with an exclamation point.
I'm live blogging since he's ignoring me and I don't want to be a noob no more.
I am sure that gets really annoying (what you previously said). Hopefully he gets his stuff together and starts actually training. I know it is probably boring but at least you are getting paid to talk with us! !!!!!!!!!!!

My random is that I'm about to turn my heater up a few degrees since I'm working from home today and it's freezing in my house. I estimate my husband to notice within 3 minutes of walking in the door, and he will just turn it back down. I swear the thermostat is a guy thing. They feel like they're in charge of it. Well guess what, if I can't feel my feet even with slippers on, that s.o.b is going up a few degrees.

Man that's crapy that he's not really training you to do the job right. That makes it hard when your on your own. I hope he picks it up for you tomorrow.
I am disappointed we are missing most of the storm. We got a couple inches, but school didn't close, but my babysitter did so I had to send in sub plans and keep answering texts from my sub while watching B, cooking, and cleaning. I wanted lots of snow that forced DH to miss his dentist appointment and bowling tonight so we could have a family day cuddled up and then work together on the cooking and cleaning. Oh well! At least I got a day with B :-)

No Problem Bob! Your welcome! Have a great day!
Omg dude really.
I have a friend that overdoes the exclamation point thing. Drives me batty, and I just can't take her seriously.
Cam and I stayed home from the office today because we weren't sure how much snow we'd get. I made sweet potato gnocchi from scratch with arugula pesto, and avocado chocolate pudding (a few recipes I've been wanting to try but never made time for it). It turned out to be very tasty, and now I'm all inspired to make more recipes, but it's back to work for me tomorrow. Mornings and evenings are usually stressful just trying to get out and in the door at a reasonable time, so I'm already feeling cranky in anticipation of that.
I'm at my wits' end because Camden has been verrrry clingy since right after Christmas when he caught a cold that turned into a sinus infection and the flu. He just finished his run of antibiotics and is feeling better, but of course he's getting molars so he's still a fusspot, and he barely lets me out of his sight without melting down. A couple of weeks ago for my birthday H and I went out to dinner and got seats on the glass at a hockey game, and Cam stayed with my in-laws. I figured he'd be fine eventually even if he was a little upset when we left, but they said he cried for 6 hours before he fell asleep. So, no babysitters for us until he gets over this. He tolerates being on his own with H better than anyone else, but he still gets inconsolable at times until I come back, so I feel stressed out anytime I leave. I'm getting so little "me" time that I feel crazy! Sorry for the rant...
lia1303 It sounds like the guy who's supposed to be training you is making things awkward and uncomfortable, and I feel for you! I started a new job once when my supervisor was out on maternity leave, and the acting supervisor was super overwhelmed by overseeing 2 units of caseworkers, so I did a lot of sitting around feeling like I should be doing something more productive.
I started T25 the other day because I refuse to believe that I can't find 25 minutes (28 if you count the cooldown) every day to work out. Anyone else try this program?

DD2 says Elsa and Anna (from Frozen...damn movie won't go away. And fuck Santa for bringing the girls stockings full of Frozen stuff) but won't consistently say Mama. Mama was last for DD1, too.
And many sorries to the ladies getting blizzards- 70* here today. I literally could not live up north. Nope octopus.
I did lots of gardening today. I still have a little more to do to get my early spring garden finished and my summer garden ready but I am close.
DH and I are doing a no-sugar January and he made us go buy Girl Scout cookies from our neighbor last week instead of waiting. So we have 7 un-opened boxes on top of the entertainment center, and the Samoas are calling my name. I'm trying to be strong. 6 more days!

Jealous of the gardening. And that's cute about Elsa and Anna. My LO doesn't say Mama either. But she'll say "Cheers!" 50,000 times a day while she clinks our glasses together.
crunchymama11 I don't think there is any way I could stare at boxes of Girl Scout cookies and not eat them. I admire your self control.
mosy I haven't tried the T25. I have knee issues and a lot of these programs have way too much jumping and squatting for my comfort. Let us know how it is.

I have the Insanity DVD's. What is T25 all about? Are they similar but only a 25 minute workout? That would be great, something I need to look in to. Some of the workouts on Insanity are 60 minutes, I don't have time for that. Plus, I come close to dying around the 30 minute mark anyway.
clarkebar1013 Yes, T25 is a lot of Insanity moves and the same type of thing except it's only 25 minutes without any breaks. I feel the same way about Insanity; I love the workout but it takes too long these days with a clingy toddler, and I start losing my form around 30 minutes anyway. T25 also has Tanya doing low-impact modifications of the entire routine, which is helpful.

mosy, thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be going on amazon soon. Shaun T will be my friend again soon enough. Good thing he can't hear me through the TV, b/c he would be so offended by the stuff I say to him. Great workout though.

Are you sure I'm not Bob.... No one can over use exclamation points but me!!!
