I am trying to keep my mind busy during this TWW so I just went and made a 30 min Kimono. It's not bad! A bit big, but I think I'll wear it. Though it took more like an hour and 30 minutes.
rablissful we live in town, our pup isn't an adventurous dog (we don't go running in the wilderness with him) so it's never been an issue in like 5 years! I'm hoping I caught it early. I bought preventative so if there are fleas lurking in the backyard hopefully they won't get on my dog anymore
cabgirl we had to deal with skunk too! We also used dawn dish soap (for those who don't know- skunk spray is oily so the dawn dish soap cuts it)
My cat got sprayed last summer. We used a dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking powder combination.
I killed the randoms thread. Is it time for a drinking thread now? Or is everyone being adulty and responsible this evening?
H and I are going out for dinner to celebrate, and I'll probably have a drink. But I won't be able to participate in a drinking thread until we get home.
I feel your pain! It was a hot mess in Seattle on Friday. I think it took us an extra 45 minutes to even get onto I5. But OMG, Newport. I love it there. We spent every spring break there growing up and a few Christmas breaks. I have the best memories there!
We rented a house between Newport and Waldport, in a little housing development. It was awesome! Didn't spend too much time in Newport, but we did walk around at the bayfront and buy some seafood there.
I'm hoping we can make it an annual thing.
When you guys go back to Newport, be sure to visit Cafe Stephanie and the Nye Beach Wine Cellar in Nye Beach. And if you want the best seafood, SKIP MO's on the Bayfront and go to Local Ocean. Hot tip from a former resident.
penguin129, was it you who was finishing Cuckoo's Calling yesterday? Did you like it? I'm considering borrowing it yet again from the library because I love it just that much.
It was. I liked it, but it was very different from the James Patterson books I'm used to. This seemed to move a little slower than that. I was hoping for slightly different ending.

Nice! I'll keep that in mind. We ended up just buying a ton of crab from this big blue warehouse looking building right in the middle of the Bayfront. They were the best Dungeness crabs I've ever had!

Yep, I know exactly where you're referring to! I grew up in that area, but both my parents have since moved away, so I will be seeing a lot less of it. (Womp womp.)
So like a noob I'm reading the insert to my newly purchased preseed. I'm telling my husband it says "many women apply it before intercouse as part of the pre-lovemaking routine" (whatever the hell that is haha) and he yells out hey baby I'm applying my pressed in here(in a old New Jersey lady accent). Oh my night...

We went crabbing and bottom fishing while there for our honeymoon. So much fun to actually catch things. While the guy cleaned our crabs, he had us eat the hearts right there on the dock. People were watching us from the annex, wondering what the hell we were doing I'm sure. How long did you live there?
