I have bought some things recommended on here over the past few weeks, and I love them!

I just wore this dress to a job interview:

And I bought some American eagle stretch skinny jeans thanks to someone's recommendation (I can't remember who), and I have gotten a lot of complements. 

I usually can hardly dress myself, but I have been looking pretty stylish lately.  Thanks!

I'm jealous that the dress is too weird of a length for me since it looks so versatile. (I have a personal dislike for how my legs look in dresses that are longer than a credit card above the knee)

Totally hijacking your thread.. anyone have recommendations for a daily jacket? I need something I can wear from the house to work, take off at work, and put back on when I head home.. MAYBE occasionally wear around the office for those days that I just can't get warm. Something versatile enough that I can wear it on a daily basis, but no so casual that I look schlumpy. My Northface zip up just really doesn't cut it with slacks and a sweater.

I think the jeans are magical. They fit me perfectly and fit teens perfectly. It makes no sense (I have three kids and hips; teens do not).
The ones I like are the super stretch skinny jeans. I used to buy spendy jeans (Silver, Joe, etc.) then DH bought me two pairs of these skinny jeans Christmas 2013. I didn't even try them on at first because I thought NO WAY those will fit me and I am used to my Loft vanity sizing - there is just no way I will wear the same size at American Eagle. But I do and now have five pairs of these jeans (I have one pair I don't love - they are a super light wash DH chose and just not my style).

I had to LOL at "Loft Vanity Sizing."  God Bless ATL.  Whenever I need an ego boost, I go try on pants in there.  They never fit length wise (they don't carry longs in the store), but just the ability to zip up a size smaller than what I really am never fails to cheer me right up.
I may have to try these AEO jeans.  Lord knows that my faithful Gap Long & Lean jeans are looking a bit tired.

It was you.  Thank you!  I love those jeans!  Somehow they are stretchy and skinny without making me look like I am trying to be 15.

What about either a velvet blazer for fall/winter or a quilted blazer?  Talbots is carrying both right now.  I know, Talbots screams our mother's wardrobe, but they've actually gotten a little hipper... quality, classic attire.

Ok I am late to this thread but based on the recommendations I am heading to the mall for jeans. I just tossed most of my jeans over the weekend. They were not flattering and I needed to clean my closet. Love the dress also. Thank you!

Another jeans note - Forever 21 skinny jeans with the higher cut waist. They conceal mom bump and fit great! Plus, they're $12. They're not going to last forever, but they're super comfy.

Now I want to try the AE ones though, maybe they'll hold up better in the wash.

2chatter - I'll have to go to AE to try them on. It's really hard to tell what they look like on their website since the model wearing them is a size 00.

P.S. - I wish you could filter clothing comments based on size. I'm sorry, but I don't really care what a 5'-9" 115 lb girl thinks of the fit. ::rant over::

I have never actually been into a store or purchased them online - my DH buys them for me with my DD. He walks in and says "I want the super stretch skinny jeans in a dark wash" and they do it for him. Don't judge on looks at all - try them on, seriously. I look at mine pretty much every day and think, no way those fit - then they do.

Another one that I just bought are the Cole Haan Nike Air wedges. They're amazing. Normally they're almost $200, but I found a metallic silver on Amazon for $68 and decided to try them. I couldn't bring myself to spend $200! Super comfy and great for work!

Any advice for me??

I used to wear Maurice's kaylee flare. They were ultra low rise, but had ample coverage in the back. But I definitely can't pretend that those would even go on my legs anymore, much less over my derrière. I have a massive derrière but I need a super low rise in the front. From my hip bones to my pelvic bone is extremely small distance. Sooooo any ideas??

And we are probably talking size 16-18ish?

So back to the American eagle jeans.....how does their sizing run. I'm usually a 10 (12 in petities) but don't like things super tight. What size do I order?

ETA:  I went last night and I do like the super skinny stretch ones!  I got a 12 regular.  Their short is really short (I'm only 5'2.5" and they were too short.)  The girl told me everything is pre-shrunk, but the 10s were a bit too tight for my liking.  I also got a pair of jeggings since they were having the buy one get one 50% off sale!  And I got two shirts for $10 each.
