So I thought my family was going to Florida in March but they cancelled. We are still thinking of doing a small trip where we could drive (we are close to downtown Cincy). There is a 5 year old, one year old, and 8 month old going (closer to 1 by the time we go). I really wanted to do the beach but anywhere close will be cold by then. I had thought about great wolf lodge or gatlinburg.
I was thinking anywhere you could drive within 4-5 hours, stay a few nights, and good for kids. Would rather it be a place we could stay and set up cribs and still go back for nap time.

What ideas do you all have?
(bolded part)Not entirely sure since I've never been, but I've heard they have bed bugs. I think Indy or Gatlinburg would be best!! But if you are willing and depending on when in March - personally I love Ann Arbor (6hr drive from NKY).

Tell me more about Ann Arbor. What's there to do? Is it hotels, condos, houses?

While I haven't been since have DD. When we would go we would stay in a hotel, we would usually go for the football games. Lots of shopping and places to eat, I know they have a planetarium and natural history musuem... check this link out it should help, also they aren't far from Detroit, and I know there is lots of stuff to do there although I've never been.

I think Ann Arbor would still be pretty cold in March.
How about, Asheville, NC? It's about a 5.5hr drive, beautiful, temps should be around the 50's in March. There's tons to do and see, off the top of my head I can think of the Biltmore Estate/Gardens, Fun Depot, an Animal center (I can't remember the name), River tours, zip lining, and plenty of gorgeous parks.

I forgot about Asheville! We just went back in October when DD was almost 4 months old. It was beautiful! And very family friendly.
Thanks! I knew about Nashville and Gatlinburg but wanted to hear about the close by places we've never been. We loved Charleston, so Ashevillle sounds like a good place. I'm a little weary of going north in early spring since there could still be snow. Keep the ideas coming if anyone remembers anything else.
