I grew up in the other side of the state line in Missouri but moved to Olathe when I married my husband. I like it here in Olathe a lot.
Hi! I haven't met anyone else on this forum who lives in this area. Its kind of exciting, lol. How old is your LO? I like living here a lot as well. There are tons of activities in Johnson County for kids during the week, it makes life so much easier
My daughter is two. We are actually in a play group here in JoCo with a bunch of kids her age, about 40 members total, and there is play dates almost every day of the week. There is always stuff going on in JoCo and so much more than I ever knew. It's great to be able to get out of the house sometimes!

Live in CT near Hartford. Love the location - nice, fairly quiet area, only about 2 hours from NYC/where I grew up, affordable area as far as house prices and taxes go, lots of stores close to home, I've never had to parallel park yet here. Hate that it's 2 hours from where I grew up/my family and friends, I hate the local mall, I find driving IN Hartford terrifying.
We have a 2150 sq ft Colonial style house. 3 bed, 2.5 bath, den, sun room, finished basement, attached garage. We own the house and have lived in it for just over 5 years now. It's a good fit for our family of 4 and 2 cats. Will still be a good fit if we decide to have one more child, but that's still a ways in the future.
We live in Colorado and don't love it. Where we live has a meat packing plant so is often stinky, I miss the rain of Western Washington (too much sun here), and not enough water. We live in in a house, but the main floor is a church and we live upstairs (my husband is the Deacon of the church) it's an interesting living situation.
Upstate NY, right on Lake Ontario. It's a beautiful area but there's not a ton to do. We own a 1400 sq ft home that we like but don't love. We plan to move in a few years to a house with more land.
I grew up just north of Syracuse, my whole family is still there
I live in Upstate New York. DH and I bought a house 2 years ago and we love it. So much better than renting!
Just curious - UPSTATE upstate or "Anything north of Westchester is Upstate"? I've lived in WNY, CNY, NYC, and the Lower Hudson Valley, and "Upstate" seems to mean different things to everyone!

I'm in Minetto, between Fulton and oswego. It's great in the summer but the winters here are rough!!

Kansas City, MO! I was in Overland Park for a little while with H but then we moved back to the MO side.
I grew up in a small town by Springfield, MO and am used to the country life so I hate being in the city. We rent right now because neither of us are ready to say that this will be home forever.
