DH is going out to dinner with a few friends. I picked up two baby name books at the library today! 

Anyone else obsessed with names?

Anyone doing anything tonight?

I love names, but I'm trying to tone my crazy list making down until later.

I have a fundraiser tonight that I'm supposed to attend, however my DH was called out of town and I have no sitters lined up, therefore may just cancel. Kids are allowed to attend, buuuuuut we have been doing so well with DS's sleep training and I really don't want to throw it out of whack. Decisions, decisions.

I am obsessed with names, but I don't trust baby name books. Some books and sites tend to be too liberal with "unisex" names, made-up names, and misspelled names. No thank you.

I like behindthename.com for legit meanings and spellings. And I also like nymbler.com because you can put in up to 6 names you like, and it will give you a bunch of suggestions of other names you may like.

I love names, and of course have already got myself settled on a boys name without even consulting H.

I'm getting up in 5.5 hours, so I'll be spending the rest of my night sleeping.

The books seem to be better than sites. There are too many names on the sites, "The Baby Name Wizard" book has charts of when the name peaked which I find helpful. DD's name was most popular in the 1920s and I'd like another "old name" for this LO.

ladywolff, I think I've decided on a girl name... not sure DH will agree though.

lilmonk, last time DH wasn't really interested in talking about names until we knew it was a DD we were having vs a DS. I'm sure it'll be similar this time too.

Also totally random but I just ordered matching Minnetonka boots for me and DD for fall. I can't wait for them to get here.

I have a list of names that I like currently but I'm sure it will be changing numerous times before April. I'm super indecisive.

As for tonight we are having a family Monopoly game night. It's always fun but I'm not sure I have the patience tonight...

I love, love, love looking at names. I've tried to hold back a little in the search. We have a top name for each... but I kind of want to find something to knock them out of first place hahaha.

Nothing big for us tonight. Pasta, a bike ride, and some TV.

richaroodo, with DD I was pretty indecisive feeling until just after we found out it was a girl. Then it was settled, we announced her name the same day we announced we were having a girl. It was so much fun having a name for her!

bluedot, I had a girl name picked out before we actually got pregnant but then when we were discussing names it was never brought up again. I just was "over it" once there was a real baby to name.

ETA I also thought I had a girl front runner for this one until like a week ago. Now I'm obsessed with a different name! Obsessed, I don't think DH will like it as much though.

I ordered the Mayo Clinic and Sears pregnancy books from Amazon. They were delivered today so I'm excited to go home and have something to educate myself with besides Google.

Same here! It was SO hard for us to come up with a boy name. If it's another boy we joke we'll name him LO's name but reverse. ..because we really have no effing clue.

We always say we'll just go with TPain Charles or something. haha
