My first betas were 135 at 4 weeks. My second round was 792 at 4w4d. That was a doubling time of 37 hours, so my RE was really happy about that.
Today, I went for my third round at 5w4d and it was 3734. That's a doubling time of 75 hours. From what I'm reading online, once you're over 1200, a doubling time of 72-96 hours is normal, so I thought it was a decent number, but my RE just called and said it was a slower rise than she'd like to see. I went from feeling pretty good about the results to now being a nervous wreck.
She wanted me to come in first thing Monday for an ultrasound and blood work, but I'm a teacher, and it's my first day of school, so I scheduled it for Wednesday morning instead. I'm not sure how I'm going to stay calm until then.
**update**
The appointment went well today. I'm 6w1d and the baby was measuring 6 weeks. It had a heartbeat of 111 which my RE said was really good for being so early. My blood work came back good too. My hcg is at 11,000-something, which I figured out to be a 60 hour doubling time. My progesterone was 34 which is also decent considering I haven't been on supplements for two weeks.
I have to call tomorrow to make an appointment to go in for another u/s next week, but my RE said that I really only need to do that if I want to (I do!). In the meantime, she wants me to schedule my first OB appointment. I actually had an OB appointment already scheduled for next Monday, but to avoid having two appointments next week, I'm going to try to get that changed to the following week.
I still have a long road ahead of me with this pregnancy, but for today, we got good news!
