We are on our way to a race my H is running with 15,000 other runners and an anticipated 60,000spectators. I will be on my own with lo (who had to be woken up at 5:30AM) and I am having serious anxiety about it. Hopefully it will be fine but crowds aren't my favorite thing. Lo is babbling happily in his car seat so that is a plus!
LO said a new word this morning- "ice" haha. This one is extra exciting because it's her first word other than "mama" "dada" and "hi." She is obsessed with trying to drink out of my glass of ice water all day, and I always tell her that there's ice in there. So that must be why. So cute!
Hey I ran and then went to the farmers market! What a relief that YH is home jjh1119! I trust you will have an excellent weekend together:) The pedi gives baby a book each time we go. This time it was about Spot the dog. Baby pointed at him and said "dah." I want to believe she was saying dog!
I ran this morning too zengal, got up early and took lo over to my mom's while I went, it was hard but good!
spikesmom glad the race went well! gldnbearz here's to hoping lo is good for you jjh1119 Yay for your H being home, hope you guys have a great weekend
Saw my grandma last night and it was nice but she told me to put whiskey on lo's gums for teething and said she should be crawling by now and is behind with that....thanks gram!
Posted to soon...,we were all exhausted after our early morning and busy day so we laid down for a family nap at 4:30... I just woke up at 7:00 and H an lo are both still out so this should be an interesting evening,..I'm getting ready to wake lo but the 15 minutes to read and post was nice :-)
spikesmom our days have been remarkably similar! I'm currently stuck under a sleeping baby. I slept for awhile too. It's past dinner time and my rumbling tummy woke me up! I'm about to try a prayer and a transfer-

kfaye I come from a family that does put whiskey on the gums. I have a friend whose gram tells her to put rum (I think, I can't remember the liqueur) in the bottles.
I went to the school this morning and did my lesson plans and made copies for the week.
We went for a nice long walk this afternoon. It was great, DD slept the whole time, DH and I were able to talk which was awesome. Sometimes you just need a nice long talk.
LO put up with us at the optometrist office. We ended up feeding her in the carseat before leaving. Getting her down for a nap took more effort in the afternoon.
@msn06 Going for a long walk with MH, the dog, and kiddo is turning into a quiet family time.
spikesmom That's similar to what happened here this morning. LO got up too early today and H brought her back to bed. After a little tossing around, she fell back asleep between us.
Apparently lo was exhausted because he woke up to nurse 4 times but went right back to sleep until 6:30 when he woke up full of smiles! We are going to a baseball game today so it will be another long day but it should be fun! I hope you ladies all enjoy your Sunday
Today was my one day that I could sleep in. So obviously, baby woke up early. I told MH he could get up with her, and he said he was going to get up and run. Well now baby is down for her morning nap and guess who else is still asleep? In other news, I am going to make biscuits from scratch and see what delightfulness I can put in/on them.
That pic is adorable, spikesmom. Being 3 digits out of 5 digits sounds pretty awesome to me!
kfaye, my older brother is always telling me to put whiskey on liam's gums. He has two kids, 12 and 7, ummmmmmmmm
zengal, biscuits sounds yummy. i say enjoy them and don't share with your H for that maneuver lol.
We are SUPPOSED to be at the beach, buttttttt its raining. H is working a bit, Liam is napping then alternate plans of lunch and ice cream this afternoon
jjh1119 I went to the store last night and I got some Tonight Dough! I can count on one hand the number of times I'd gotten a little pint before, but I'm afraid I have a new "thing." Haha!!

We are in a sleep regression again.. This is horrible. And I tried to do our usual 10 mins of crying then going in the room. It lasted so long my husband told me to stop and just bring her in bed. She'll sleep eventually right??
jax1182014 I have to believe they'll sleep eventually. When I told the pedi we get only an hour to four in the crib, she told me that it was too late to sleep train now. I don't know how long to expect the status quo...
Baby will tolerate us washing her hands at the faucet, applying a wet wash cloth to her face, and changing into pajamas for bed. All to be followed by a bottle and she's down. Yes, the bottle part is key.
We had a long day today with a hour long walk with the dog in the morning and out to check out some open houses in our area. She crashed before 9pm.

I missed everything this weekend but for good reason. My sister had her son last night. I was her support person and that was the most incredible experience ever. She was real champ. VBAC with 1 st degree tearing and he was born sunny side up. She did so good. I am so happy that I got to be there for her.
