I'm getting this started because while I didn't sleep well/much, G went 11 hours! Three quick wakeups for dream feeds and he put himself down after we did the beach!
Nothing much planned for today, just swim lessons in a couple hours. We've got a beach bbq with my rugby club tomorrow that we'd like to drop in for.
I also wanted to say thanks to all you ladies for the pep talks. Most days everything's good, but every so often sonething comes up.

Morning!
Too much wine + too little sleep = one regretful, tired mommy.
Why oh why do I do this to myself? Wahhh.
I have a lot of cleaning up to do before our friend comes over to house sit for us for vaca. I just really wish I was feeling a little better today.
But my cousin is visiting with her 2 month old and I can't wait to meet her! She was 5 weeks early and when I wanted to go and visit her Mason and I got sick so I haven't yet. I can't wait to take a picture with Mason, the eldest at 7 months, then my brother's baby who is 4 months, and my cousin's baby at 2 months! Yay for close in age babies!

So I had a dream that your family was sitting around and saying great things about SIL and her kid. Then your mil said 'and then there's G'. And that was it. You went nuts and started yelling you must fucking hate me! I hope that doesn't come true!!! Lol
I hesitate to mention it for fear of the sleep jinx, but we've had a new sleep pattern the past few nights and it isn't too bad!
I'm hoping to find out from my sister when her husband is gone today (he's doing an out of town bike event). I'd like to go clean her house for her while she's at work. My nephew's 1st bday party is tomorrow and I know she's running short on time.

I've totally had that same dream. I also hope it doesn't come true, but a girl can dream.

Morning I'm at work, the sun is shining, and I'm feeling underappreciated :-P My coworkers just said something shitty. Very long story short, I was their mutual friend and they bonded while I was on maternity leave because she was staying in my office and he was bored without me (we're the only 2 phd's in our corridor). I jokingly said to the first coworker 'oh what would you do without me' and the 2nd one says 'oh well he needs me more. That's what he said before!'
I know it's only a light hearted joke and that I could expect this to happen, but it really hurt my feelings and now I just wanna go home

I just dropped S off in the living room with DH and told him he was on duty. Time for this momma to go back to sleep. We're spending the night at my mom's tonight 2hrs away and then going to my mamaw's tomorrow for supper. It's going to be a long weekend. A usually ends up hysterical about halfway home, so that's always fun. I'm hoping making it an overnight trip rather than just a day trip will help with the hatred of his car seat. We shall see. I hope you ladies have a wonderful Saturday.
pitdigger Yay for a great night sleep for LO! toadandbuggie boo for wine hangover but yay for vacation and getting to see family and babies mishka29 you partier you sounds like a fantastic evening osumegs I hope your new sleep pattern holds true! and you are such a sweet sister! going to clean her house. WittyLittle ouch that stings, I am sorry. Even if you know it was light hearted that can hurt. You are awesome don't forget that. hollydfromtn, sweet dreams! Enjoy your hectic weekend
Hey ladies, Busy week at work, I haven't been on much!
We have a party today at our place for my Birthday (Tuesday). Its actually going to be a hella lot of people. There are about 5 people who live pretty far who we invited on the off chance they'd be around who are actually comign! I have to clean the house though. Its kindof a house warming party too, since we haven't had a shindig since we moved in in October. We got one more room finished this week.
LO woke us up (late, at almost 8!) with an enormous diaper blow out. The onesie has now been trashed and once DH stops playing with our plumbing (he's working on getting the dishwasher installed, which will make a VERY happy birthday to me) his laundry is going up.

I definitely could use some more sleep, but I'm not going to complain because I had sex last night. Not just sex but amazingly mind-blowing, hot, pre-pregnancy/baby sex! DH outdid himself last night. I really didn't want to because I was tired and it was late, but damn, I'm glad I did! Sorry for the TMI, but I had to share.
I'm off to get a shower and go visit with my brother and SIL.
My poor little dog, Aspen, seems to have hurt her leg yesterday. She is barely putting weight on it and shakes when I come near. I haven't quite pinpointed the problem, but I am fearing she has torn her crutiate ligament (ACL in people). ugh. On top of needing a dental cleaning and possible tooth extraction as a two year old. She is quite pathetic! She wimpers when she tries to sit but was going crazy when I put on running clothes this morning. She did NOT like being left at home that is certain.
I have a book exchange with some local ladies today. I am excited!
DD woke up from her first nap way to early, momma is not ready for her yet! She is happy so I am currently ignoring her. Clearly I should be nominated for MOTY

I drank a bottle of prosecco last night and ate a delicious cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. Just like lotsofdotts, I then had an amazing time in the bedroom with H
About to put DD down for her nap, then get some stuff done around the house and head to the park when she wakes up. It's beautiful outside!

Thanks aggiebug, and lotsofdotts . They just came by asking if I want to come for lunch, then when I said no thanks, they came again asking if they can bring me anything. I'm not going to make a big thing out of it, I just need a few hours to get over it. The pride is strong in this one

oh nooooo! Sorry to hear that Hopefully I'm wrong, doesn't ACL need to be operated? I hope she feels better soon! (kudos for the run btw!)
6 month pics for Anna today. That's all I have planned. I worked the past two weekends so it'll be nice to have a whole 2 days with my wonderful husband. I love being around him as much as possible. I wonder when that'll change? All the middle aged woman I work with love to be AWAY from their husbands it seems. We've been together almost 10 years and I still can't get enough time together. Sorry, mush over.
WittyLittle ew. Even when people make jokes, they can have a bite to them, and that sucks. Just know you're awesome and try to move on (easier said than done because I can tell you're a people-pleaser like I am!) aggiebug poor pup! It's so sad when they're hurt and can't communicate it. My beagle is going in for his tooth-cleaning next Friday as well, but I don't think he'll need an extraction this time around (hopefully)! toadandbuggie so fun that you all have babies so close in age! Have fun! My spam: our friends are coming over with their 2.5-year-old and 3-month-old for a cookout. Looking forward to catching up with all the conveniences of being at home (crib for nap time!), but not looking forward to cleaning and then having their toddler run amok in our house! Have a happy Saturday, ladies!
I went to a restaurant called bulldog ale house and I got a pretty good beer brewed by them. It was called sunset wheat. It tasted a lot like the leinenkugel beer with the same name...
wimcgrath this little beagle is such a wuss! She was chewing on a stuffed toy and got it all bloody, she has a very suspicious tooth we shall see.
WittyLittle yes a torn cruciate is typically a surgical procedure. Sometimes they just strain and rest and rehab get it under control but not always.
@holachica I actually never did that surgery. I always preferred medicine and focused on soft tissue surgeries, but I would likely be able to get the Dr I used to worth with to do it for me.

Now to be clear... I was up at 4 am doing a feed when I read that post and responded. I don't usually have crazy dreams about people I don't know! Lol
aggiebug Poor puppy! Hope things start to look up soon!
WittyLittle Sorry about the playful jab. Those often definitely hurt more than intended. Nice of them to try offering lunch. Maybe they realize what they just did to your day. Ask for dessert :-P
We're on our way to Philly for my friend's bachelorette brunch. We're definitely going to be way late despite our best efforts due to traffic and nursing stops, so I hope we figure out a place to catch up afterwards. My friend knew this would be rough for us. Alina is asleep in her car seat now. She took only .5 oz of the formula supplement we offered yesterday. I doubt my supply has magically replenished enough to warrant that (especially cuz she woke up more than usual to nurse last night), so I'm still assuming bottle hatred. I'm scared (however irrationally) that she's going to starve herself before she ever takes a bottle for real again. Once we're able I might try spoon feeding or cup feeding what I can to her. She can't refuse everything...right?
Postpartum hair loss.... When will it stop?! I am have to bust out my clip in extensions I used for my wedding Also very jealous of lotsofdotts and mrsclark731, I am just way to exhausted to put any effort into bedroom fun.
WittyLittle hugs. lotsofdotts woohoo! aggiebug your poor pup! She's in good hands with you. FlutterOfYoshis I would try a cup since the bottle isn't her thing. Hope you have fun with your friend!
It's so weird to be home on the weekend! I'd forgotten was this was like. I went into hyperdrive yesterday cleaning the living room / kitchen / nursery / laundry so we could relax this weekend.

If Aspen is a smaller dog, I recommend a pack n play for recovery. My parents got one for our dog and it was great to keep her from jumping, but she could still be in the room with us (versus just putting hey in a laundry room all the time).
Ha that is a brilliant idea! Aspen is about 25 pounds, but she would go crazy and likely try to jump out of the play pen (and likely could). She doesnt jump on furniture and we can block her on one level so hopefully recovery won't be too bad. It will just be food time and when we get home
Sister texted me to warn me that if I stopped by to drop off stuff today, her mil was probably going to be there cleaning. Surprise fail on my part, but that's ok. Just glad someone is doing it for her!
