We just got a Costco membership (we have BJ's down the street, but Costco>BJ's)...anyone have Costco food hacks for me? Anything you can't live without?
I'm going to try and actually start doing this. Especially since we just got a quarter beef and a whole pig from the butcher.
Monday leftovers Tuesday pulled pork and baked macaroni Wednesday Vegetarian tikki masala Thursday Work party at the ballpark Friday Taco bar at my mom's Birthday party Saturday sloppy joes and tots Sunday Chicken thighs over wild rice
Frozen foods we get: chicken breasts, taquitos and mini bagel dogs (good smack weekend food lol), chicken tortilla soup (serve with rice and it is a full meal), ravioli.
Other foods: snap pea crisps, chips, salsa, hummus, quinoa/wild ride, red lobster biscuit mix.
Their beer, liquor and wine selection is so good. Their Kirkland vodka is bottled at the Grey goose plant.
We also love their take and bake and fresh things- mac n cheese, call ones and awesome rotisserie chicken.
We're going on Wednesday and planning just to have dinner there.
Thank you, Thank you!!
Your Costco hacks are on point
Of the three Costcos that are equally as far away (all three in different states) only one has a liquor store! We are going to that one next week!
M - was supposed to be Caprese pasta with chicken, but both kids took dreadful naps and I had no time for prep. So DH, my hero, picked up tacos. T - Santa Fe chicken over quinoa with salad W - Breakfast for dinner - French toast with sausage and fruit Th - Back to school night, so leftovers for DH and DS.. and me too once I get home. I'm always too nervous to eat before. F - Beer brats with salad and sweet potato fries if it cools off a bit (not turning the oven on when it's 100 degrees out)
DH is doing nutrisystem. So, my meals for the week are just chicken or carne asada with a ton of veggies. I'm trying to eat as clean as I possibly can. I'm mainly concentrating on eating no grains during the week. I will eat corn tortillas on occasion but no flour.
This is my dessert for the week. Super quick and yummy when trying to control calorie intake. I made a milkshake version with ice tonight since I didn't have time to let it freeze.
Monday: veggie mac and cheese with turkey sausage Tuesday: chicken salad wraps, salad Wednesday: crockpot rotisserie chicken, sweet potatoes, salad Thursday: avocado pasta with turkey sausage and tomatoes, salad Friday: brown sugar garlic chicken thighs, squash, zucchini and peppers
mishka29, I saw it a few weeks ago on a Parenting meal thread. It's so good. This will be the third time making it since I saw it. Recipe says green beans, but I've done asparagus and this week will be doing bell peppers probably.
All I've got this week is crab bake/pie that I was supposed to make last week but kept falling through. Otherwise, it'll be frozen meals til we go grocery shopping. We've also been eating left over grilled chicken for a few days. I know...not much inspiration in this response lol.
