Terrific: DD isn't crying at daycare drop off anymore, DH is getting both boys up/dressed/fed/dropped off at school, and my classes are doing an orientation in the library today which means I'm just helping the librarian keep them on task and not really teaching.
Terrible: DD has been having very frequent poops since Friday. I don't think I'd call it diarrhea, but she's not having many wet diapers and has a rash so I'm starting to worry a bit.
Terrible: I have to work today, boo. Also we are still battling a diaper rash and diarrhea for DS; just hoping it clears up soon. Terrific: I bought an apple spice air freshener for the house since it's almost fall. Left the house in enough time to get starbucks before work. DD loves her teacher.
Terrific: I'm down 8 pounds in the past month and officially hit my lowest weight since starting WW last fall (I never seem to lose much weight while nursing so my primary goal was not to GAIN more like I did when DS1 was a baby). Now to just stay on track and not let all the delicious fall/holiday food derail me, lol.
Terrible: I need like a year to catch up on my sleep debt. Also I ordered Halloween candy through subscribe and save but never got the heads-up email that they'd be shipping my stuff soon. I had meant to skip it until the end of next month so now I'm wondering if I'm going to have a box of melted chocolate show up on my doorstep.

Terrible: one of the people I recruited to work with at my past job got fired for something super minor. The new boss didn't go to bat for him which makes my raging mad. The guy literally just had a baby two weeks ago and they let him go few days before that. It does confirm that I made the right choice of not going back. I knew that the new boss was going to be worthless.
Terrific: going to lunch with my old boss! She's terrific and I'm sure I'll get filled in more on the above situation.

Terrific: we leave tomorrow evening sans kids for a long weekend in RI. Going for a wedding this weekend and it's conveniently where we honeymooned and our anniversary is also this weekend.
Terrible: I have to pack tonight for the kids to stay with my parents and for us for the trip. Hate that part of traveling. At least they'll be with my parents so I just have to focus on clothes, diapers, monitors. Everything else they should have.

***Loss mentioned***
Terrible: One of the ladies in my MOPS small group lost her identical twins boys. She was 34 weeks and has two older kids. My heart just breaks for them and I don't know how to help.
Terrific: Our MOPS group just started back up after our summer break. I am so excited to have some mom time and to have a break on Tuesdays again. It is so nice to be back with these wonderful supportive women and have a real conversation!

walterjenne so sad about your group member Maybe offer a meal, babysitting, gift basket of indulgent snacks, or even something as simple as a sympathy card.

What good news all around!
I'm so glad they offered you a job that works for you! Will Z go to work with you?

My parents will be watching her mainly (they're retired), but I would like to bring her Tue/Thur because she really needs some socialization and she is a handful and I can't imagine my parents having her all week haha. DH and I are nervous about it, even though she would be in the same building as me - it's hard to imagine someone else caring for her but there's no rush on getting her in luckily. I'm also waiting to see what kind of discount they will give me haha.
Terrific: -My friend gave me her tickets to see Garth Brooks in a few weeks. DH and I are planning to turn it into an official date night and drop DD off at the IL and book a hotel for the night. -Sold a few baby items that dd outgrew off a local b/s/t
Terrible: -Still have no voice from last weeks sickness

Our coridinator and I are dropping off flowers and a couple cards tomorrow. We will also ask when we can start a meal train and offer to help them with anything else. They just moved 4 days ago so we will ask to help with any boxes/unpacking that they have too.
Luckily our MOPS group is really supportive so there are 50 women willing to step in and cook, clean, and pray for anyone who needs it.
Both Terrific and Terrible: Tomorrow is my boss's last day, so the whole staff is going out for dinner and drinks after work at a nearby restaurant.
Terrific: Someone also brought us cake today and it was delicious.
Terrible: People kept making me feel like an asshole today, or they were assholes to my staff. Examples:
People yelling at my staff because we ran out of storytime tickets. I'm sorry, but we have to limit it so that insane toddlers don't collide with each other more than they already do (aka safety).
I won't go into the drawn out story, but TL;DR version is another lady had a toddler with her while she was using the computer. She totally ignored her toddler, the kid was restless (because what 2 year old can sit still and quiet that long?) and eventually I had to ask her to take her kid to the children's area so that the other people around her weren't disturbed. But of course it made me look like the bad guy. Blerg.

If I was there I wouldn't think you were the bad guy I would be side eyeing the mom
littlemissmarla, does the Cake Boss still have his bakery in Hoboken? If so, have you ever had anything from there and is it as delicious as it looks? (I've started a diet this week and may be slightly craving sweets). Also, happy birthday and yay on old/new job!
He does, I pass it everyday on the way in but unfortunately they do not make their food on the property anymore so it's not fresh. They make it in a factory type place in Jersey City and bring it over, I think now it has become more of just a tourist site. It used to be pretty good though!
