H, DD and I had a date for donuts this morning. They were yummy but I have had enough sugar to last me a month I think.
Today I am planning on heading to the park when DD wakes up and then maybe some errands later. I was so accomplished yesterday I feel like I should keep it up today. That or it justifies being totally lazy hmm.

My niece (who was at my house on Monday all day) has ring worm on her arm.
I'm grossed out.
I hope my kids don't get it :/ I have no idea how long it would take to pop up. I washed everything I could and wiped down everything else. I was up until midnight just cleaning.
why does my 6 month old all of a sudden hate car rides??!?!?!?! Ugh. It has been a nightmare everytime in the car since we got back from vacation. The car used to be our saving grace with fussiness, now I dread getting into the car with her.

I think S may finally be kicking this cold. We were back down to our usual 3 wake ups last night instead of the 5 we've been having. I feel so much better this morning. Now if only we could get teeth to pop through.
michelle142 ewww. That's not good. I had ring worm or round worm (?) when I was a teenager. It went away fast once you get the cream from the doctor.
mands1125 did you have a long drive to and from your vacation? We did a 5 hour drive and DS was over getting back in the car for a week or two then, he got over it.
Thank goodness my parents plane landed safely last night. I went to bed late waiting for them with a migraine and sure enough DS was up 5 times last night. Weekend could not get here any faster.

Dd started in with that in the past week or so as well. She made herself mad enough to puke everywhere Saturday. It of course happened on the interstate so it was a good 5 to 10 min before I could get to a safe spot to check on her.

I'm posting and running. 6 month appointment in 45 min. Im trying to churn out some work while she's napping before the appointment. As I'm packaging up crossfit lady's (see yesterday's spam) order and admiring my kettle bell heart creation, I realized no one saw my glaring typo I have to print all over again. They are double sided... I'm an idiot.
mrsclark731 those are so cute. Dang, spelling error. I do a lot of work in excel at work and it does not underline misspelled words. I always have to do all of my typing in a word document and paste it over to avoid it.

mands1125 I second mommadozer's post above. We had a long ride for our vacation and DD was tired of the car for a while but she's over it now.
I had to give DD Tylenol last night at bed time, she has been so cranky and was refusing to eat at all yesterday. I think it has been the perfect storm of crankiness for her the last few days, I assume teething symptoms (slight fever, cranky, not wanting to eat, drooling like it is her job) along with the shots at her 6 month appt on Monday. We had an almost normal night last night though - 2 wake ups!
I am pretty sure she is just waking up at 10:30-11pm out of habit and tried to not feed her last night but she just screamed at me for 20 minutes until DH woke up to see what was wrong and I gave in.
G is down for his morning nap and I'm knitting, even though I should get some cleaning done.
I'm contemplating a trip to SIL's in October, just me and G. It would be a good thing to do and I could survive a few days on my own. Plus, maybe the ILs seeing G will get him a bit of praise and doting. Plus, apple picking. I want to pick apples.
misshart00 feel better soon! michelle142 ring worm grosses me out too mands1125 oh no! Infant or convertible seat? mommadozer glad to hear your parents are safe & sound mrsclark731 adorable! Except for that typo
michelle142 hopefully the ringworm doesn't spread to you. But at least it's just a fungus and not a parasite like lice or something (I'm terrified of that and pinworns). Good luck!
ETA: mycology and parasitology is part of my job as a microbiologist. I actually like identifying the molds/fungus. Hate parasit with a passion...shivers.
Yep! DH is being a turd about getting the convertible seats just yet. But if she continues to wail in the car past a few more weeks, I may be able to convince him.

I have the graco infant carrier and the base has an indicator to allow you to sit it up a little. I haven't done it, but maybe that's an option for you?

Thanks ! I need to take a closer look at ours. It seems "off" or something (but not in an unsafe way if you know what I mean).
I have to go to the DMV after work today with DS. My wonderful H never changed the address for our plate registration, so sticker has now expired and we never got the renewal in the mail. Thank god I noticed it before we got a ticket, though! I'd make him go, but with work, he'd be home super late. At least I'm going to Costco today for lunch before work!
Can you go to an express DMV for that? Those are the best! Not sure where you are but there's one in wheaton. Soooo much faster and nicer people!

Same. We have it on our Christmas list but this crying thing is no fun!
I am battling with our life insurance company today. I was denied during pregnancy because I had gestational diabetes (we were idiots and waited until I was already pregnant to buy insurance). Even though all my labs have come back normal, they are continuing to give me the run around. Also first world problems: I have to scramble and clean my house before the cleaning lady comes tomorrow.

I've done that before. But I keep last year's receipt in the car and take that in. Then they don't need the little card.

yeah, they're further away though... I'm going to the one in Melrose Park. It's.... interesting there, lol.
and misshart00, I called. I do need to find 2 pieces of mail that they would find acceptable to change the address. I think I'm gonna have to bring our house deed, lol. I do all bills online.

Anyone have a floor high chair/booster seat to recommend? We literally don't have a kitchen table and just eat at the coffee table/couch because of our tiny apt. We've been using the bumbo for feeding but he seems really uncomfortable in it. I need to get something that will work and have no room for a real high chair. Any ideas??
Not much happening around here on the spam front. The bookcase we ordered for the baby's room FINALLY came in to BRU. We still haven't finished the nursery and he's over 6 months old... Oh well. I mean he sleeps in the room and stuff, it's just not as "put together" as I'd like...

The color is currently sold out, but they have different ones. He loves the activity tray, and we take it off for food time. We've sat him on the table in it while we eat, and now it's secured to one of the chairs. Plus is that it can be used until he's 3 or something. It doesn't squeeze his fat legs like the bumbo did.
