HI!!

So, I had the old PB link bookmarked here at work and it has been acting all wonky for a while now - I could view the forum while logged out, but if I tried to log in, my work would block the site.  ANYWAY, I am now coming here through the actual thencomesfamily.com and it works!  and I'm not blocked! 

I hope you ladies are doing great.  My DS is 6 months as of last week and is starting to crawl, sleeping good (most of the time), still EBF with food attempts thrown in daily (he's not a huge fan - is this actually my baby? because mom LOVEs all the food), is doing great at daycare...... that's a big enough recap for now, I am going to go issue 3 months' worth of lovetits now!

ETA: mycology and parasitology is part of my job as a microbiologist. I actually like identifying the molds/fungus. Hate parasit with a passion...shivers.

I hope not too!! They should really consider renaming ringworm -- it's a pretty misleading name!

And yeah, parasites are nasty. Fungi are pretty gross too.

Well... Kind of. several days ago, I had spotting, which I never have. And now I have this weird head cold. I had one the week before I found out I was pregnant both times before. And this is about the same age DD was when I got pregnant with DS. The problem is that I'm not supposed to start my period until next week, so it would be negative anyway if I took a test now.

I'm freaking out a little. But I freak out about every other month.

But I've also been super religious about taking my pill. I think last time was user error somewhere (taking it the next morning or something).

Now that I actually typed it all out, I doubt I am. I just freak out a lot. Lol

misshart00, if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms you are pregnant enough to turn a test Do it for peace of mind.
And yes I was pretty sure I was pregnant but we were trying and I was temping so it wasn't that intuition type "knowing"

LO had some peanut butter today ugh. DD1 sat down beside her with PB and crackers and before I could say anything LO spun around on her tummy so fast and stuck her hand in the PB. While I was busy grabbing her away she was busy sticking her hand in her mouth.

eta:  5 mins later she puked on the floor. She had already puked earlier in the day so it's hard to say if this is related or not

I have a great idea for announcing a second pregnancy to y'all. Too bad we're not planning on TTC for a few years.

We had our 6 month appt today. The pedi says he looks great. I keep focusing on that and not the fact that he dropped percentiles again. His weight went up, so that's good. She said he's on his own curve and that as he starts eating solids he'll likely go up more and faster. But at 2 months he was in the 24%, 4 months 13%, and now 6% (he was born in the 6%).

Anyway, he took his shots like a champ. He then fell asleep on the way to daycare, but I wasn't able to make the transfer to his crib. He only had 1 nap that was 1.5 hours. Surprisingly he went right to sleep at his normal time.

Finally, I forgot my pump flanges at home. I went to get all hooked up and realized they weren't in my bag. I hand expressed, but wasn't nearly as effective. My arms were so tired and I only got a measly 2oz (though I did get 4 in my other session). I was super full when I got home. I was like, "gimme dat baby". Luckily he was hungry, haha.

The most random thing happened. I called BRU to check if they had an item in stock and a man answered the phone. I was explaining why I was calling and he was a smartass back to me. I said "Sir, there's no reason to be rude" and got hung up on. I called back and a lady answered. I told her that a male associate had just been rude to me. She said "OMG, a customer answered the phone and then ran off! Our only male associate is our manager and he's in the back right now." Interesting. I wasn't sure whether to believe her or if she was covering for an actual associate, but she was very nice and sounded pretty sincere.

Oh, and they don't have what I want in the right size in any of the 3 BRUs in my city, so now I'm debating if I want to pay expedited shipping for DS's 6 month pictures on Sunday. There's a BRU warehouse just outside of town, so I'm trying to figure out the cheapest option I can get away with. Too bad I can't just drive there.

GeekBeagle on the one hand that sounds sketchy that she immediately jumped to that conclusion; on the other I know people who probably would think it's a fun game to answer phones in stores.

Yeah...and I do know that the BRU phones are often left unattended. All that I can think about is that if it was true that it's most likely somebody's dad, lol...but then again I know a lot of immature dads who would think it's funny too.

My day started off ok, LO woke at 3am but DH got him, I didn't hear crying at all. I got LO when he woke at 8am, DH was sending MIL to the airport. It was nice to have the baby all to myself. I weighed Him in our bathroom scale, he lost weight! I think he's thinned out some since he started to crawl clumsily.

As the day progressed, I started coughing. I reallllllllllly hate my MIL right now. She somehow managed to make me suffer even after she's gone. She seriously isn't allowed to be back here again. BIL called me earlier to talk about MIL and me. Said if he could pay me $100 to make peace with her. I told him I'd pay him $1k to keep her away from me and DS. While I appreciate his effort, I told him it's the absolute worst time to have this conversation, as I'm really raw about getting sick cos the bitch lied.
