Halloween Costumes!?

I know it's early, but don't shoot me. I know you are all thinking about it already

Any ideas on what are you dressing your LO's up as this year?

I've been thinking of it for months to be honest.. haha. I wish that I could sew or be creative, but I have to stick to buying costumes for now.

I didn't know what to dress DD1 up as, but I'll have DD2 in the wrap when we go out with my grey hoodie over top, so I picked up matching crochet kangaroo hats for us. Last night we were out shopping and I found the most adorable little koala costume for DD1. It was the only one left, and the perfect size! I tried it on her, she loved it, and had a meltdown crying for "bear" when I took it off. So it's settled. We are all little Australian animals.

I bought their costumes in July. Kayla's going to be a monkey and Ashley's going to be a kitty. The costumes are nice and warm and they both seem to like those animals. Ashley is totally obsessed with cats and whenever she sees Kayla's monkey costume, she thinks it's Curious George. It's actually pretty funny.

We are going to Disney World in October, I bought DD an Anna costume from the Disney store for the trip so we will probably reuse for Halloween.

I've been thinking about it for a bit already. I think we'll do Minnie Mouse bc she's really into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but she loves curious George too so a monkey might be an option.

DS will be about 3 months then but I haven't given it a lot of thought for him. I still have DDs cow costume from last year but I think it'll be way too big so I'll have to figure something out. Probably superman lol

I have 2 costumes that will probably fit her: an alligator (she wore it last year and was swimming in it) or a bear (DS's costume from last year). I will put effort into DS's costume this year because he actually cares, or at least I think he does, this year. She will be happy choosing between the 2 costumes we have.

We are thinking a Minion for our LO and DH will be Gru. She is super into "Minis" right now, and I've found some cute ones.

DD2 has an owl costume that my niece wore last year and I'm trying to find PJs that would work for DD1 to wear that would be able to be used again. We aren't headed out anywhere so I can't justify spending money on a costume.

DS found an astronaut helmet at a store that he loved so he will probably be an astronaut.

I'm thinking Peppa Pig if I can find a reasonable one. She's OBSESSED with the show and all things Peppa so I figured it would be something she would like or at least recognize. It's so hard because there are some really cute ones out there but I can't justify spending tons of money when she really doesn't care. I know I'm still in the I can do whatever I want phase with her but I at least want her to recognize the costume (I think).

I was thinking Minnie Mouse also because DD likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I was also thinking about DD to be a Ghostbuster because I can add extra layers inside the suit to keep her warm because a couple Halloween events are outside. I was also thinking about getting her a toddler Wonder Woman costume and adding a long sleeve shirt and tights.

I was thinking of either a black cat or a nurse/doctor. I already have cat ears and nurse/doctor's toy tools. A black cat may be the easiest and since we're in the midst of planning a move around the end of the month, I may go with that (plus she loves cats).

My DD is going to be Minnie also and I found a sweet little Mickey Mouse sleeper with a hood with ears on it so DS will be Mickey.  I'm ridiculously excited about it!

I got DS a turkey costume. He wore it to Boo at the Zoo. Big hit! We call him Turkey when he's being mischievous so when I saw the costume it became a must have

I love the idea of sibling costumes so I found matching boy and girl pirate costumes. Cant do anything scary cuz DD is terrified of everything!

DD is going to be a rock star- black faux leather leggings speckled with silver paint, black tank with the ACDC symbol and ABCD on it, tattoos of sesame street characters, I'm gelling her hair into a mohawk. Cropped jean jacket. DS will be dressed like Angus Young from ACDC...

My DH is in charge of Halloween costumes because I grew up not celebrating it and it's not a big deal to me.
