Woke up this morning to Amelia screaming downstairs. I come down and dh is sitting with her in his lap, playing on his phone. I asked him wtf was going on and he said he didn't know. She'd been doing this since her 4am feeding. I asked if she ate it all, was she hungry, did he try changing her diaper? He said he changed it at 4 and hadn't heard her make a mess in it.
I took a look. It was huge. Changed her and she fell asleep. Had to wake her at 8 to feed her again, but now she's so tired and cranky from crying for 3 hours that I have to hold her or she screams.
Does anyone else have nightmares about dropping baby? Seriously, they are on constant replay for me. Being a new mom is scary as shit as it is. Stop making it worse brain!
So, I always have flashes of scary stuff re: the baby and at first it made me feel like I was losing my mind. Then I read online somewhere that those are built in moms, to keep us aware. Like, I've dreamt that I accidentally left the infant car seat in the parking lot (terrifying) so every time I pull out of anywhere I double check. Brains are pretty awesome.
I don't think we're dealing with cluster feeding. I'm starting to think reflux. He's started pulling off crying during a feed and spitting up then repeat. Sometimes he's spitting up and letting out this squeal like he's in pain :/ I don't know if he's arching his back but I'm too tired to remember much.
Also, Dh wants to have a surprise party for his dad tomorrow since yesterday was his birthday. Dnw. I'm so tired and I don't want to entertain and cook for people I barely know. Plus fil hates people at his house so I'm not sure how any of this is a good idea.

htuzzi324 the pulling off and spitting up are reflux symptoms. I never thought reflux was this common but it seems like half of us are dealing with it. Fx it gets better.

Now that we are mainly breastfeeding i am trying to stop pumping. I still need to pump once a day. It's usually in the morning. Not sure how this will work when my mom leaves on Sunday.
I just nursed and still felt full so I pumped for about 5 min and got a total of 3 oz.
So Little Miss A is 9 days old and happily eating 3oz per feeding. Is this alright? She has the average amount of dirty diapers and I haven't had any issues with spitting up, i just don't want to over do it...
How long in between feelings? J is a month old and already wants 4oz every couple of hours. I think this is a growth spurt or something, it's like he can't get enough! But yeah, they say you can't overfeed them do I just follow his cues.
Guys, was looking through some christmas photos and just realized this picture of DS is the most stereotypically Canadian pic ever and had a good laugh.
Rocking his new pjs, beaver fur hat, and his new hockey helmet in the background. Lol I wish he was holding maple syrup too.
You need to redo this pic, exactly as described, and you got yourself the best holiday card EVER!
...I cut dh's hair a couple days ago and just now dd came in from outside with a handful of his hair hugging and and wanting to give it to daddy. Apparently she's been hoarding it in their play kitchen. I'm not sure if I should be amused or if my child is slightly insane.

About once a night I wake up in a panic that I never put DD back in her rock n' play after a feeding and I have rolled over onto her and crushed her.
It's a really scary "take my breath away" 10 seconds until I look over and see her sleeping beside me in her rock n play.

We found two apartments that we like yesterday. One is two floors, with a deck, on a lake. The other is one floor, bigger, and cheaper. Hmmmm.....vanity or finances....
Good morning ladies, sorry I missed out on Thursday things were just -well you know. So some of you may remember my FFFC that I use a dinosaur IPOD to surf the net. Well my loving DH who detests too much screen time decided to get me a tablet AS a push present , and I love it but NOW I have a learing curve issue because it is not an apple , did I mention he also really hates apple. SO IF THIS POST LOOKS TUCKED UP, that is why. WHY DOES IT MAKE DOUBLE SPACE AFTER EACH WORD?HOW DO I STOP YELLING? AS the TABLET TURNs.

I'd say bigger and cheaper! Kids fall down stairs, lakes have more bugs, etc. lol

Bigger. Trust me. As soon as LO starts getting bigger you will be overcome by toys.

Bigger and cheaper. You never want to be spread too thin, money wise. It'll only get thinner from here on out. :/

Soo I'm updating in my original post but no matter how many times I update the title to tell you guys that it won't save. I've been on pitocin for about 3 hours. I'm having contractions but I don't feel a think. Doc will be in to check me again soon. At last check I was at 2, but that was before pitocoin.

Omg I feel like a horrible mother.
Can't figure out why she won't stop crying. Amelia will not let me put her down to sleep. I have to be holding her and she'll just pass out. I just fed her and she finished 3 ounces in 11 minutes with the regular newborn nipple. I thought she might still be hungry so I warmed up a little bit more and she didn't want it. I changed her. I put diaper cream on her in case she was getting a rash.
Is it possible that she is teething? She'll be 4 months chronological next week. She's calm and sleeping in my arms, but inconsolable anywhere else.
motownthrowdown that was us yesterday. I did all the same things. Do you have a wrap you can wear her in? It seemed like it was just yesterday, M is being fabulous today. FX she settles for you.

Desperate for ideas. Help!
I'm sure you tried burping her?

motownthrowdown, Jackson has been doing the same thing since yesterday. I can't figure it out. He finally calmed down when my mom took him so of course that made me think he hates me (which I know is untrue...). He's not hungry, he's not wet or poopy, he's not too hot or cold, I don't know what it is.
ETA: he will scream if I put him down and calms down if I hold him but after a few minutes of holding, he screams again which is why my mom took him to give me a break.
