For the past month my dreams have been so vivid & random & insane that I actually POAS (negative!). I think the FB group thing gave me whacky anxiety dreams in which the recurring theme was a bunch of us met IRL and then the group just shattered. And in one there was a subplot of a forest being mowed down for ugly houses? And in one there was a subplot about seamonster and a giant raccoon? So, uh, I guess I really don't want things to change here. Or to ruin a good forest.
In other news, stuffy nosed DS gave us all a rough night, as did our A/C freezing AGAIN.
Morning Aspen had an allergic reaction to her vaccinations yesterday so H had to go to the store for some benadryl at 10 o'clock last night. Then I was up a lot checking on her last night. But DD slept in. So yay.
The FB thing is making me irrationally sad. I knew it would happen eventually, but this place is going to die with a FB group and I don't want that to happen.
It's another dreary day here... I need to think up some creative ways to tire out my 3 year old if its raining. I also could sleep from 2am to 330am cause my stomach was so upset. I think its fine now.

Currently snuggling in bed with H and DS. Vacation is almost over and honestly I'm ready to go home lol. DS hates the beach so it's not pleasant to go there and he can only stand the pool for a little bit of time. I didn't realize how exhausting it is to take care of a child while on vacation.
We went out to eat one time so far and it wasn't a disaster but it didn't end well. I knew I was walking on the wild side agreeing To go out to eat right in the middle of DS bedtime. Of course he had a meltdown and threw up all over MIL and I got dirty looks from the family next to me (a holes). Tonight we are going out to eat again. Let's hope I can convince LO to be ok
I'm in the fb group but I will be here as much as I have before.
We have an 8 a meeting at work. Then we close at 1 for the anniversary. My plans for the time off -- eyebrow wax, and nap before pick up dd.
I think we are planning a zoo trip tomorrow with my parents and sil and her kids. Should be a decent not Africa hot day. So looking forward to the weekend.
Morning! I'm sitting here at work in the parking lot gearing up to go in. I have 45 mins before I need to be in a meeting so I will be labeling, labeling, labeling. Finally got my class list yesterday. aggiebug that is scary! I hope she is ok. toadandbuggie enjoy your last day of vacation! I know what you mean about ready to go home. Vacations are not vacations with babies. cloe111479 enjoy the zoo!
Aspen is fine she just started getting a puffy face so she was on benadryl and a breathing watch (I wasn't too worried about that but definitely still a concern) last night. It was a pretty delayed reaction at 12hrs and she wasn't too puffy so the benadryl worked fine but still scary especially happening at night when she isn't closely watched.
Dang. Of course as soon as I come out of creepy lurker status a FB group starts!
Nothing exciting planned today. Just the normal cleaning and laundry. I've been making DD's baby food and she's always just been sort of meh about it. She tried gerber baby food at my in laws last week and loves it so that makes me really excited to give her the stuff we bought last night.

I joined the FB group too, but I rarely post on FB in general. I don't see it changing the way I post here at all. I love you ladies too much to let this place go.
S is still asleep beside me. This is the 3rd day this week that he hasn't woken up until after 8. Now if only I could get DH to start closing the bedroom door when he gets up and starts making his breakfast (we live in a tiny house where our bedroom connects to the kitchen). S and I are meeting MIL for lunch and dropping my car off to get the oil changed. Hopefully they don't take forever.
aggiebug glad Aspen is okay. I figure when DS is mobile & finds the dog bowls that'll be the end of free feeding our pup. tortor4 of course LO would like the jarred stuff haha. Babies likes to be contrary.
I am getting so excited for Christmas! Too soon? I love Sept -Dec! so much!
October is my favorite month. It is the perfect weather and the leaves start to change. It also means I can finally start wearing my boots and scarves again. And of course pumpkin aggiebug.

toadandbuggie, hugs! It IS hard work taking a baby on holiday. But yay for snuggles!!! We skipped holiday this year because Jake would probably be a party pooper, but it's been super boring to be home all summer, too
I had some puffy feet yesterday, which has never happened in my life until I got pregnant. POAS may happen this weekend just to make me feel better.
Animal loving friends: we have stray cats that come and go at our house. I leave food out for them, and we generally have one that will stay around for a while before moving on to the next place. My question is: can I slip them some wormer/flea stuff when they eat? I know they're just strays, but I feel the need to take care of them as best I can.
Happy Friday, y'all! I'm gonna sleep in so hard tomorrow.
Morning! We have the wake today so getting some extra snuggles (and now that means crawls and slaps) in bed. I never thought that I would enjoy co sleeping but I do. We're still going to sleep train next weekend. Those who did this, how do you make sure they haven't peed on themselves or poopexplosions haven't occurred? Basically, what's your rule of thumb for stepping in?
Oh yeah, and finally have our six month appointment today! The grandparents love to play "guess the baby's stats". I know we're not the youngest baby here, but I always feel behind on the stat threads.

aggiebug my DD hasn't found the dog bowls yet, but she's constantly after the poor dog. He's been hanging out on the back of the couch to stay away from her!
missys we read a bunch of books but ultimately made our own plan. We did normal bedtime routine and then rocked for a few minutes and put DD in crib awake. We did checks at 3,6,9,12,15 minute intervals. I only went in if it was a full on cry. When I went it I would pat her back and tell her I loved her (in for less than 30 seconds) I can smell a poopy diaper a mile away and DD is not a night pooper. As far as wet diapers go...... Her diaper is at full capacity in he morning.

Nope! I'm gearing up for the holidays! I absolutely love Christmas and wish I could make it last longer than the month of December, but I refuse to be someone who starts Christmas decorating until after thanksgiving.
