Going to see a few of my closest friends from college for brunch on Saturday. Trying to decide whether or not to share our news with them, since we haven't told our parents yet (would like to tell them in person if possible). I do trust that they would keep it quiet. What do you guys think?
heartbot I don't think I could get down with the green chile ice cream!
shedreamsincolor if it were me I would totally tell them. We haven't told my IL's yet because we want to get them together and the only opportunity we have had so far was a family function and we didn't want it announced to everyone. We have definitely told a few friends because the circumstances were right.
This is the first weekend all summer that DH doesn't have to work and we don't have anything on the calendar. I'm really looking forward to some family time!

Thanks @doodler! That's kind of the way I'm leaning too. I just feel like "the right thing to do" would be to tell our parents first. But honestly it just hasn't worked out yet and I don't know when I'll see these friends in person again.
We are getting family pictures taken tomorrow at a local park. We haven't had professionals taken since newborns for DS.
I'm having some trouble with deciding what to wear. I think I'm going to go with a chambray dress for myself, a red plaid button down for DS, and DH got a bright blue chambray shirt for himself, with white shorts.
Oh we are also going to celebrate our anniversay and the ILs were planning to watch our daughter overnight.
H asked if I wanted to go for sushi. Grr...
***Food warning*** I know it's not the same but if you stick with cooked or veggie sushi you can still enjoy a little something! (Real) sushi and wine are the two things I miss most while pregnant!
Also, update from yesterday... I'm still bleeding. I have occasional cramps, especially when laying down.
The NP said I could come in today and monday for beta testing... but I can't get out of work monday... and my appt is Thursday so I'll just have to wait it out.

Nothing exciting here. DH works weekends so it will just be errands, cooking, cleaning, and preparing as much as possible for the next couple weeks while I'm still feeling good.
Hoping the weather cooperates so we can make it to the park or play outside before school starts Monday too.
We are going camping this weekend with the ILs and I am not thrilled about it. I hope the weather is good because otherwise we are going to be miserable. Sorry for being a downer.

Tonight: it's dh's birthday, so takeout pizza & cake for dinner. Plus we are catching up on this week's Teen Mom 2. Are we the only ones obsessed with this show?
The rest of the weekend: Not much, hopefully dh can take ds out somewhere so I can nap in peace
Tomorrow is going to be busy. The house needs to be deep cleaned, errands need to be ran (costco/target specifically), and My MIL/sFIL are coming to town tomorrow. So we will hang out with them in the evening.
Sunday we are having Z's first birthday party. So that will be chaos.
Can we just fast forward to Sunday at 3-ish when I can rest?

@bluedot, hope the time passes quickly for you and baby is just giving you a good scare.
As for me, we're still in a hotel...the 4th one in less than a month but we signed a lease. There's an end in sight! I think we're going to go for some walks and maybe the zoo because we're all a little stir crazy here.
@bluedot I'm sorry you have to wait so long. I'm thinking happy thoughts for you!
I have to get blood drawn in the morning, NP wants a 1hr glucose test simply because of my weight. I gained a lot of weight with DD and never lost most of it so i guess we'll see what comes of this little adventure.
DD has swim lessons and then I'm really looking forward to my Saturday nap. Then no plans until Sunday nap. I want all the naps.......
I'm sitting here waiting for the 1hr glucose test blood draw. I realized on my way here this doesn't usually get done until the second half of pregnancy. So if my pancreas doesn't cooperate, it may mean a stricter diet for a lot longer than usual. I didn't have GD with my first so I'm just sitting here rooting for my pancreas to do its thing. Healthy baby is #1, I'm just whining because I'm a fatty lol.
We decided to take away C's pacifier this weekend since we had a 3 day weekend and he moves to a new class at daycare on Monday. We transitioned to only allowing it at naps/bedtime a year ago and everyone told us that he'd self-wean within 6 months. Riiight. Still it's going way easier than expected, which is generally the case with him.
My MIL is on her way over to pick up her dog. We've been watching her for a week while they were on vacay. We put lo in his big brother shirt to see if she notices.
JoeLies how old is your LO? DS is 19 months we've only ever used it for naps and bedtime. I just can't see that stopping soon.
21 months. We want to have him fully weaned long before 2.0 comes so he isn't tempted to regress. He's honestly the most easy going and adaptable kid. He's got us deluded into thinking we have this parenting thing down. LOL
Well my H is out of town for a funeral this weekend and apparently I have decided to binge on junk food while he is away! Seriously, this is getting out of control. I WANT ALL THE BAD FOOD!
Just got back from a wedding. I had been really looking forward to it but it wasn't quite as fun not being able to drink and feeling too nauseous to bust a move! Oh well, it's worth it
While we were at the wedding my dad patted my belly and said I was showing already. I'm 5w 6d. I told him that the baby is the size of an apple seed and it is just fat and bloat but he didn't believe me. SMH. Thanks dad.
I've been making DD a map. She really likes the "Tell me the continents" song so I'm making a puzzle type map for her to go along with it. Mentioned that we lived in Asia before and she is obsessed with it, she keeps telling me all the things she did in Asia, which of course half she doesn't really remember but since we moved when she was really little she's right.
"I crawled in Asia." "I walked in Asia" "I held hands with Tabitha in Asia"
