I should use the time I'm tied down to my desk pumping to do something constructive, but I don't wanna. I think my doc removed my motivation during my C-section...

You are productive! You are catching up on here. Is that helping?

I'm re-reading the thread on solids, so I consider it "researching"!
I'm so frustrated with LOs naps today. She's perfected sitting up so that's what she does. She gets so mad if I go back in and lay her down. If I just leave her then it takes forever for her to go to sleep and she just folds in half so I'm guaranteed a short one bc, well that's uncomfortable.
If I put my baby down "sleepy but awake" the way we are "supposed to" he sits up then sometimes SLAMS himself back down. repeatedly. I'm really worried he is going to slam his head into the side of the crib. Should I be worried about this? or assume its a teachable "that hurts" moment and just assume he won't kill himself/will learn from the experience?

So, DS has two bright red spots on his body. One on his back and the other on his leg. He's never had this bad looking bug bites and they kinda look like chicken pox. I read some articles and it seems like it starts with the flu, then the rash appears. DS hasn't had any flu like symptoms. Does anyone one know if you can get it without the flu symptoms.

I'm still trying to recover from the busy weekend.
Saturday DS rolled back to belly! He did it once with a lot of encouragement from me. Later I looked down and he was on his back, I looked at the tv for 2 seconds, looked back down and he was on his belly!

I could edit my last post to add this, but I may as well up my post count.
For those who are sitting up, did lo do that on his/her own like with rolling? I try to sit him up on my lap, but we don't have a bumbo or something like that where he can really sit up. Well, I guess we could set him in the high chair.
It's just that they did move him back with the bigger babies at daycare. They don't have bouncy chairs or play mats back there so I end up setting him on a boppy. He looked so sad to me lying there while the other babies were playing around him. I hope he wants to join them soon. Or maybe he can last longer than 5 min in an exersaucer soon, and I can leave him in that.

Yikes! I don't remember anything besides the spots (sorry, not helpful I know), but I sure hope it isn't chicken pox!

We just practiced on the floor. I would set him on the ground between my legs. Or I'd lay him on his back on the floor and have him hold my hands and pull him up to sitting that way. Then try to get him to support himself with his arms too, like a tripod. DS doesn't sit up from laying down on his own yet. And if he gets tired from sitting up he just crashes backwards, so I try to have a Boppy or something behind him to cushion the fall.
Once again I skipped work. I'm still coughing up half a lung. At least I have more of my voice back today. I've been sick since Thursday, so far DS is still fine, I hope this means coast is clear... Yay for BM? I somewhat am regretting weaning so soon. I still pump 2-3 times a day, but not making all that much.
Is it weird that I'm now jealous of anyone with babies that would sleep on them? I remember how desperate I felt when LO wasn't sleeping by himself and needed to be held. I wanted him to sleep independently so I could rest without the fear of dropping him. Now that I'm more caught up on sleep, I'd really love to have him sleep on me sometimes, but he prefers his crib and doesn't even care to sleep on my bed anymore. I really miss baby snuggles.

^WSS. A lot of hovering while I sat him in the floor in front of me. He still takes an occasional nosedive and face plants the floor of we're not careful, but for the most part he can sit there. He has yet to pull himself into a seated position though.

When she first started I would sit dd up on the floor to practice. Eventually she figured out that she can roll over onto her belly and push herself up.
G doesn't put himself into a seated position, I do it for him, but he'll grab at stuff and even try to catch himself as he topples. I'm right there, but he puts arms out and curls his head in.
What's that? Pumpkin you say? These are fucking amazeballs. I bought this package last Thursday and its 3/4 gone. Yum!
Hmm trying to gauge whether I should try these. OK do you like a pumpkin spiced latte? Or other pumpkin spiced flavored treats? Or are you more of a pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffin kind of girl?
