The littlest of things make me happy. I've been at the Philly Airport for 45 mins and so far I've experienced:
1) The moment I realize everything in the restroom is automatic. I don't get frustrated if it isn't, but every time the toilet flushes on its own, the water senses my hands are in the sink, the soap drops foam in my palm and then I have to manually get paper towel...I always wonder...Why did I try so hard not to spread germs and now this? I know it has more to do with being fiscally conservative, but still.
2) the stalls are deep enough for a person to enter and your luggage to fit! No need to leave your bag unattended or crammed between your feet getting funked up by airport bathroom floor nastiness.
3) the entry way to the bathroom is wide enough for two people to pass...with their rolly luggage. No need to turn sideways and try to turn your bag. You know when you both are sure you can make it so both bags tilt sideways on two (or one) wheels. Sometimes you both make it, but more often than not one bag slams against the wall and the other gets stuck behind that corner and the person either pulls hard whipping around the corner like a skip it rope hoping on a few wheels before settling back into proper rolling position or else loses the handle leaving the bag to go crashing to the floor.
4) The TSA screening agent called me by my first name and said "TJ, I'm really sorry you are in the wrong line. Or you can get re ticketed down stairs and avoid that line (points to the insane security line across the way)." I appreciated him being nice about it. He could have easily been the usual person and just handed my ID back and said wrong line go over there. Especially since that lady in front of me was about to lose her shit if she had to "stand in that long line when there is a perfectly good shorter one right here."
5) you should hear the excitement of the woman next to me talking about her Caribbean cruise. She just got back. I'm thinking of calling Royal Caribbean right now! 40 year anniversary gift to themselves. That's so awesome...40 years!
6) and the usual little thing that brings me joy...coffee. This little stand has a pretty great cup.
