And meanwhile in tx it's 70 degrees.. Lol. All you guys dealing with the snow stay safe and warm!
So I woke up this morning, went pee and let penny outside to do her business. I went in the kitchen to see about breakfast and sneezed really hard and a gush of blood started pouring out of my nose! I've never had a nosebleed before and it totally freaked me out! It took five minutes for it to stop :/ according to dr.google it's normal, but it still scared me
I never had pregnancy nosebleed with DD until 2 days before I went into labor, and then again the day before. Pregnancy symptoms are so weird!!
Yes.. They are! Blood freaks me out period, but when it's gushing out of my nose I really tend to spaz!
I'm fighting the urge to go get donuts. I want donuts so baddddd for some reason today. Chocolate iced donuts, glazed donuts, cream filled donuts.. I want ALL THE DONUTS!
My random: Last night I did not sleep well at all. I tossed and turned all night, enough for my DH to ask if I was okay.
Well... in the middle of the night, after turning for what seemed the hundredth time and resettling back into yet another uncomfortable position, I felt a very distinctive goldfish-like flop in my lower abdomen just below my belly button. About two or three seconds later, it flopped again, feeling just like a small goldfish flopping in my belly. I lie there still, wide awake wondering if I actually felt my LO for the first time.
I am a FTM and tomorrow (Wednesday) I will be exactly 14 weeks. I know it is very soon to feel anything yet. So, I wonder if I was actually awake or did I dream the entire thing of my being restless and unable to sleep.
lotsoflotts my husband's family is Czech and they cannot get enough colaches. I have a family cookbook now that includes all kinds of Czech baked goods but I'm a little intimidated to make them when they still rave about Grandma so-and-so's everything. Are you in TX? There are several Czech bakeries that they all know where they are and if anyone heads that way, they are required to bring back a box. We live in New Mexico, so it's not exactly a short commute!
golfanista any wiggle room in the budget? You don't have to answer to ME, of course, but we got into a bit of debt with wedding/honeymooon/house as well, and I started reading mrmoneymustache.com to give me some ideas on where I could actually find some money on our current income. It's an early retirement blog, and I certainly am not on that level, but between his articles and the forum, you might be able to cut some expenses to help pay off the debt without having to get another job. I can't imagine working full time and then serving even a couple nights a week, but fatigue has been my biggest struggle this pregnancy!
I'll definitely check that site out! Thanks!! The fatigue has killed me too, but I just don't know what else to do. We did get rid of cable and went down to Netflix and Hulu. That has saved us a chunk of change And I've been grocery shopping a lot more economically. I'm just in a hurry to really throw some good money at these credit cards. I'm so impatient.. Haha!

I keep seeing that on Netflix, I wonder if I should watch it
Yes. Yes you should.
It totally made me cry, pre-pregger hormones. I LOVED it. I'm currently waiting to get my hands on the books themselves because I can't handle it being over. If I didn't have a full-time job, I'd be watching it again right now haha...
I've only seen the first episode of the show but I've read all of the books and I loved them. I'm a bit of an Anglophile but was obsessed with them although not all are about her time as a midwife. Still so interesting.

I expected to leave my office at 12 today. I didn't bring lunch. I ate all my snacks and the women I work for (I don't say boss because tech I am an independent contractor) said at 12, "oh I have to go run and do something, if so and so comes in, tell him I'll be back in 45 mins." Doesn't she realized I need to eat every 30 mins!!!

It pisses me off that every time we have a storm the news is on 24/7. I may have wanted to watch Days of Our Lives. We don't need a play by play of the snow falling....The afternoon news should be enough and then break in with anything monumental. Although, these days they break in for anything. Like when they transferred Aaron Hernandez between jails. They legit filmed from their helicopter the caravan that brought Hernandez from point a to paint b. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Psa- I went to Costco yesterday and they had a 2 pack of gel memory foam pillow for $9.99!!!! They are definitely firmer than regular pillows but they give such great neck support and I'm convinced they are the reason dh didn't snore last night! They are amazing! Go buy them!
Also- we named her. We named her before we knew she was a girl... Actually before we got pregnant. I'm aware the first name is popular but we don't care. Emma Christine will be joining our family in July oh and I got two muslin swaddle blankets at Ross for 8 bucks! Came home and immediately took the 2 pack for $34.99 off my registry!

I've just now decided to go to Costco! Thank you! I've been sleeping so well with DH gone... I don't really want him back yet.

Eric Church concert tonight...I am so so thrilled And wild to think about this blizzard going on since it is in the 70s in crazy Denver! Stay warm ladies!
Yup, that sounds about right - it's supposed to be 69 tomorrow in the Kansas City area. Crazy! Stay warm and safe all you mamas on the east coast.

I just came back in from helping DH with snow removal. It's so freaking cold! I won't be able to feel my toes for at least 2 hours. Luckily, the snow is nice and light, but that means the wind can take it and throw it right back in your face. The highlight was when I temporary broke the snowblower by getting one of Rocket's toys stuck in the auger. Oooops! DH was able to get it out, otherwise divorce papers might've been filed.

I have these too- amazeballs! DH has some fancy schmancy pillow, but I swear these feel just as good! Plus- 2 for $10! I Costco.
rach every time I see your picture I crack up, DD's birthday party this year has a my little pony theme and I wish I could use that as a centerpiece on the cake table!

I took advantage of the snow day to get all of my winter maternity clothes from my last pregnancy washed (since they've been sitting in storage for 4 years). I'd forgotten about some of the pieces I own. I'm so excited to have more comfy clothes to wear!
Bonus: I "got them washed" by asking DH to wash them. Winning!
kristhegirlgolfanista I love that site! I wish we could retire at thirty, but that's not going to happen haha he is how we came across republic wireless for our cell phone service though. We went from paying over $200 with a family plan, to $25/month for both of our phones with unlimited talk and text. We don't have data, but if we did, it would be around $55/month for both phones to have unlimited data. Definitely helped our budget out!
We have a "snow" day (literally no snow left on the ground at this point), so I'm spending the day grading papers and watching Call the Midwife based on your all's suggestions
