So I started this new thread, and then I reread my title as though I'm questioning the literacy levels of this group. Seriously. Not where I'm going with this...
Just wondering if others would be interested in a book club or at least a "What are you reading?" check in. I was lurking on S15 and saw theirs. I know some of us are limited on time for hobbies, with multiple children and/or busy careers, but I like the idea of at least sharing book titles we've enjoyed or hated.
What time zone are you in that youre posting so late? Or are you a shift worker like I am? I mostly skim parenting books or books about yoga and mindfulness/self help because reading:
I love to read. I do it in spurts, though. I may read pretty much nonstop in my free time for a month and then not read much for a month or two. I tend to read a lot of "junk" but I'd like to participate in some kind of book club or check in!
This is me too. Right now I'm in a rut and haven't read for a while. I'd love to get some ideas and suggestions.

Yay for readers!! I'll create a poll (if I can figure out how) when I get to a computer later.
@jennatles I live in Texas, so central time zone. When did I post? (Tapatalk app doesn't show time stamps.) I'm going to guess it was between 12 and 2 am? DH is in retail management for a large electronics company, and I'm a SAHM now, so I follow his schedule. He gets home really late if he has to close the store - between 10:30 and 12:30. Then we stay up to talk and watch tv or a movie. It's a weird schedule, but it's the only job he's ever had and I'm used to it now. Plus, DS is sleeping, so I have both hands free!!

greenhairedgnome and hydrangea1019 I'm this too. I'm currently in a rut, but I've been thinking about finding something new to read. And as for "junk" reading, I think that's all I do too. I cannot, for the life of me, read anything historical or a bibliography, etc. Puts me right to sleep. That, or I read it 10 times and still have no idea what it said...
I love to read and would definitely be in for a readers check in or book club. I don't have very sophisticated taste though and keep my books pretty easy!
