Q: What surprised you most about moving to/living in Angola?

I think the extreme level of poverty was the most surprising. I knew it existed here but didn't get how wide spread it would be. I really thought because this was an oil rich country some of the money would trickle down but it definitely does not. You are either very rich or very poor.

We are really hoping to get to Asia next. We would love Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, or South Korea. 

Just not ready to go back to the US yet!

Because we met on the internet I was first attracted to him physically. He is tall and has amazing eyes. Plus he was in the AF at the time so seeing him in a uniform didn't hurt the physical attraction.

This was our first expat assignment so just the US and Angola.

I have a brother and a sister. I was much closer to my brother growing up but not really anymore. My sister and I are now much closer and I stay with her a lot when I'm in the US.

Favorite food is hard because I love food!!

I would probably put sushi as one of my top favorites but it is something I can get here. It's definitely not as good as what I get in the US but it works if I am having a craving. 

I really miss Tex Mex the most. I love margaritas and fajitas!!

Angola doesn't really have many animals. What they did have here was killed during their civil war. I've seen a monkey or two but that is really it. They are attempting to bring back the Giant Sable which I hope to see before we leave. 



All of my animal viewing has been on safari in South Africa and Tanzania.
