Oh and a question- I have a 2013 uppababy, which I have agreed to sell, because I want the 2015 uppababy, I got gifted a 2015 city select, would I be crazy to sell the uppababy and city select and get the new uppababy? Which is what I really want, or should I just keep the new city select and let go of my obsession with the uppababy brand. (I only want the new one because it is SO much nicer when it comes to having 2 kids)
If you're able to sell both I'd do it. If you're not I'd just accept what I had. JMPO!

Happy birthdays and good lucks all around.
My random is more my FIL's random that I can't get over. He lives in Mississippi, and when he came to visit us for the holidays he was gushing about this woman who he was "talking to" (he's divorced). They finally went on their first date, so when DH called to say hi he asked how it went. They went hunting! Setting aside my thoughts on not killing the poor deer, how do you go hunting on a date? You can't talk because you have to be quiet, and most of the time you're not even in the same place.

I just ate scrambled eggs and hasbrowns with salsa for breakfast, then realized I have my GD testing in 2hrs. I thought it was tomorrow. Great job! I dont have to fast but now Im tripp'n about failing since I usually eat just a granola bar or 2.

Uggggh DD1 is home with a cold and is super cranky, and DD2 is cranky because DD1 is being a brat to her, and I'm out of patience for the whole day at 9:45. Tried to run a bath for them, but there is not enough hot water for no reason, and DD2 threw an epic fit in disappointment. T&P for my sanity.

I have the GD test in a few hours and I'm also stressing about what to eat for lunch beforehand. Scrambled eggs seems like a really good choice miraclebbye.
I naturally have really curly hair, but got my hair cut on Sunday and had her blow dry it straight. Yesterday I just had to comb it and it looked awesome, and I just got out of bed and it's the same thing today! I figured by now I'd need to wash it but no - straight hair is the shit! I wish I had enough patience or enough fucks to give to straighten it myself more often.
Jealous. My hair is stick straight no matter what I do. My friends laugh when I curl it because it is flat as a pancake within two hours.
Mine is also stick straight. When I was a kid I would get perms and they would fall out and be straight in two weeks.
I hope all the ladies in the snow are staying warm! As a Cali girl, I've never even seen the snow fall so I really can't imagine any if it (although a snow day today sounds fantastic!)
I'm joining the insomnia, horrible night's sleep club. I also sleep much better on the couch, not sure why I even try my bed anymore. After being awake for hours, I finally fell asleep and then woke up late. So now I'm not only tired, but late to work.

I'm so tired of being sick. It's a little over a week now, yesterday was the worst with a fever, but with Tylenol Cold at least I have that down now. I took yesterday off work but not today because I'm trying to save as much PTO as possible to extend my maternity leave (I get STD 6 weeks if vaginal birth, 8 if c-section, we'll have to see what the baby decides to do!) and all I want to do is go back to bed. But when I do go to sleep I feel like I'm waking up at least once an hour to blow my nose.
ETA: Besides the whole sleep thing, the thing that bugs me the most about this cold is that I can barely talk, let alone sing. And I'm being a dork about singing a lot right now. I know the baby can hear my voice now and it makes me happy to know I'm singing to her. I really hope she grows to love music as much as we do.
I'm trying to keep our wedding small and simple for financial reasons, and my family is making it very hard to do that. We ended up reluctantly opening up the guest list to aunts and uncles last night but I'm keeping cousins off (not particularly close with any of them). Really trying hard not to have this turn into My Big Fat Italian Wedding. Right now the plan is a simple ceremony on our front steps followed by lunch at a local restaurant. I love my family but I really wish I'd gone with my urge last month to elope.

Nooooo! What kind of hunting do you do lady?! Rifle hunting you don't need to be quiet at all, because you can shoot up to 1000 yards away. Archery hunting sure you have to be quiet, but you can definitely talk. DH and I go on hunting dates all the time. My question is.... Did they have any luck?
Sounds like a fantastic date to me I want to know if they are going out again??
My coworker sent an email saying she brought in bagels for everyone today. I was like awesome, snow day treat! They are weight watchers bagel thins and there is no butter or cream cheese to put on them. I was expecting Panera. #ungrateful
kroads you baby is so stin kin CUTE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him!!!
Woke up twice last nighy because DH was sick and vomiting. Unsure of it's some type of bug or food poisining. But this morning he asked me to rub his calves because they were sore and he says "I think I caught it, I caught the Ebola."
DRAMA QUEEN!!!! I've been trying to deal with a cold for the last 2 WEEKS!!!

sunshyneshay #1 I am SO happy for you that the move worked out and that you are really loving your place. #2 GL to the hubs!
My random: I am not sure my H was prepared for the go mode/money spending I was going to be in after the room for the nursery was cleared out and the crib was put together (happened this weekend which was exhausting). Bedding? Purchased. Adorable wall decals? Yes please. A cute fox stuffed animal? I may need two. Decorative throw pillow for the rocker? ABSOLUTELY.

Yeah, hunting is not my thing, but if two people have a hobby in common it would make sense that they'd go out to do it together on a date. I think you learn a lot about how you mesh with someone by participating in a favorite activity together, even if there isn't much talking involved.
I'm so upset My DD was sick as of yesterday with a fever and cold, plus her molars are cutting through, so she was absolutely miserable. I was prepared to have a long night of getting up every couple hours to hold her and help her sleep...well last night my video monitor died (the power supply cord stopped working). I woke up at 5am to DH's alarm, and noticed the monitor wasn't working. I stepped into the hall and could hear her screaming "Mommy"... She was hyperventilating and shaking from crying so hard for so long and she was roasting. She was probably waking up all throughout the night crying for me and I never came. I feel horrible...my poor girl!

kroads happy birthday to your little guy! snapdragon I hope the girls take a good nap for your sake! corrys12 it's called being man sick and it's worse than anything women can experience. ?
And this is outside right now, but still expecting about 6-12 more inches. I know there are places that get even more snow than this so I'm trying to keep it in perspective!

Ahhhhhh I would die of guilt!!! Both of my monitors make obnoxious beeping noises when they are disconnected from a power source or are about to lose power, but once in awhile the sound just turns off for no reason. I always panic that something like this will happen. ((Hugs))

So much stuff to catch up after being gone for almost a week. Sorry to be a debby downer but my grandma passed away on Wednesday night and we traveled for her funeral on Saturday. It was a little tough to say goodbye to her but we knew it was going to happen eventually. We know she's in a better place now so that's a comfort.
I hope everyone stays safe who is affected by the weather. Also GL to radtechgirl and sunshyneshay H on the job opportunities. And hugs to anyone having a bad day.
