My H is pretty much useless at night...by the time he actually gets moving I am already wide awake, it makes me so mad sometimes. I swear his closest relative is a sloth
Mine does. LO is still in the PNP in our room, on my side of the bed. We usually both get up and split diaper change and bottle warming/ feeding duties. I don't normally get up in the middle of the night to pee, but I'll go if I'm already up.
Twice this week, LO has woken up at 3-4am. We're all doing what we have to to get her back asleep ASAP. This morning she ended up sleeping with us.

We've thrown in the towel and are now "those people" who co-sleep. Dh usually hears Lo before I do, so he gets up with him sometimes. Other times he slides him over to me to nurse him. We work together, we try to give whoever has to get up the earliest a break.
Ok need your advice. Work trip to NYC w/ mom & Lo in a few weeks. Do I a) opt for the close but tiny hotel near the office. I can stop in & nurse Lo throughout the day or b) go with the big hotel in midtown so they won't be stuffed in a hotel room all day? But I would be gone all day & would have to pump. My mom isn't super mobile so she won't walk all over the city with him. Thoughts?
Ya, no help over here from H at night. I don't even think he hears her most of the time. We have been co sleeping for at least half the night and usually he sleeps on the couch if that's the case which is nice because we can spread out a bit.
ninergirl52 I vote for small hotel so you can nurse just because I think pumping sucks! gldnbearz my lo has been waking up every night around that time and is very hard to get back to sleep. She usually is just wide awake talking away. I've been bringing her to bed with me every day at that time just for my sanity!
Poor lo has a cold again and I felt terrible leaving her at dc today...she needs extra snuggles! Going to nurse her at lunch and I'm hoping she's doing ok...she was so upset last night I finally gave her some Tylenol and could tell as soon as it kicked in she relaxed and fell asleep. She slept with me all night and actually slept great for the first time in forever. Oh and I am now getting her cold...yay!

kfaye - That's what I'm leaning towards, the smaller hotel. My mom said it was totally up to me. I just feel a little bad because the rooms are small and LO is all kinds of mobile, though with a smaller space he's actually pretty easy to manage. I feel like I figured it out last week in NC. Kid is turning into a little jet setter.
Stinks that your LO has a cold again. There are few things sadder than an LO who is miserable with any sort of sickness. Hopefully she's in for lots of snuggles this weekend.

I don't mean to get political, but did anyone see the photos of the Syrian refugee boy being pulled out of the water? It's a sensitive subject so if anyone wants to google it's very easy to fine but I'm just warning anyone that it deff brought tears and anger on for me

Zengal I saw it on npr as well. I mostly get upset that innocent babies and infants are being affected by all this. I followed a link to donate to the children affected then thought about fund raising to make more money then have my company match it like most do. But then I stopped because I know people associate anyone with Syria with ISIS and I feel like I would have a hard time raising money. I just feel like something has to be done to help these poor babies!

My H does all night stuff. It would seem I'm mean when you wake me up and I don't function the next day.
We have a busy weekend of removing a wall so my new fridge can fit. A water line is also being run so the ice maker and in fridge water dispenser will work.

zengal I like him too. Even when he falls asleep at 8:30 while I'm trying to talk to him. It's a product of DD suddenly being up 1-3 times a night so I'm working on being understanding.

I read the article about it on the scary mommy blog. I was not prepared for that at all. I cried alot. I try not to watch the news because with all the hormones it seems to only make me cry. I feel ashamed that it takes a social media outburst for me to know what is going on outside of the U.S. I should work on that.
