When you see this face you probably think what I thought.... Poop face! Nope, longest noisiest farty sharty from an infant. I kinda wish I video taped it, might have been a world record. But seriously, it only left the equivalent of a skid mark in her diaper. My kid has mad gas yo!!!
Piper Lilly-lee - Born Sept 11, 2013 New Tiny Human - Due Aug 7, 2015 August 2015 - July Siggy Challenge - After Pregnancy Plans It will start like this:
So you guys know how Amelia has been screaming her guts out whenever we try to put her down this week. I go to my mom's house to pick her up since I couldn't bring her to the thing this morning, and she starts screaming as soon as I pick her up. My mom is pissed because she's having a Labor Day party tomorrow and we are trying to decide about bringing Amelia. The fact that we are even considering it is a huge deal, I think.
My mom starts making little comments to Amelia about how she's sorry she has to go home with us and how mean we must be, keeping her cooped up all day. Then as we're leaving, she's telling Amelia that one day, when we stop being mean, she can go out to the store or restaurants and she's so sorry we're so mean.
Yes, mom. I'm just such a fucking bitch for following MEDICAL ADVICE to keep her isolated. I love having to schedule grocery shopping around when one of us will be home with her. I love having my only human interactions via email with my work people or with you guys (not that you aren't awesome).
I'm furious on your behalf. Like, fucking furious.
1. Say it directly to the mom. This talking through the baby shit is ridiculous, and
2. Following medical advice over giving your mom a chance to show her off is just common sense.
Frankly, I wouldn't go. Not only are you questioning it for Amelia's sake, but I'm not sure that being around her passive aggressive BS is worth it for you. Your sanity in this is important too.

hurricaine, I'm considering going by myself just because one of her friends will be there and this friend is kind of a big deal in the whole Medicaid/disability field and can explain what we can get.

This kid has pooed 7 times in his first 24 hours. I also lack the upper body strength to hold him..... We should get blood cultures back today so fingers crossed we can be done with antibiotics
BTDT moms - give me your best remedy for diaper rash...lil man is pooping so much his bum in raw. Aquaphor is my normal go to and it's doing nothing
Triple paste. Also, lots of time without a diaper. I would put him on an old towel on the bathroom floor to do some tummy time so his but would be up in the air for 10-15 minutes.

My hubs came back with the Xtra strength desitin and we used that overnight. I plan on some diaper free time today as well...it looked better at the 4 am feeding since he hadn't pooped in 4 hrs. Thanks for all the suggestions ladies. Here is hoping it looks better this morning...he's still sleeping.

Owen slept through the night! Put him down at 11 and had to wake him up at 7. He would grunt and cry about once an hour but then immediately go back to sleep. I kept waking up to make sure he was breathing and for my 4:00 pumping. I hope this is the new norm but I'm attributing it to all of our sightseeing yesterday.

oopsiedaisies, Jacks had a horrible rash for the past two weeks. His doctor told us to not use wipes, but just hose him down in the sink. Then let it air dry for at least five minutes, then apply copious amounts of Desitin. The purple one. Its worked wonders! The rash looked better by the first use. Its almost gone now.
Well, looks like H is buying a new car today. He has to be at work on time no matter the weather, so he needed to ditch his beloved sedan for something with AWD. But, he's so tall we were really limited on what we could get since we have to be able to fit a car seat behind him AND the car had to be less than 6.5 feet high to fit in his work garage. We looked all day yesterday and there was really only one that worked. And yet he still had to think about overnight... but today he's going to go buy it! I'm oddly happy to have an SUV available - I think it'll be so much easier to get the kids in and out.
Not a good night/morning for me. H took the MOTN feeding last night but couldn't get M to settle. H brought him back to the bedroom twice when he wasn't asleep. I got up the second time, M needed a diaper change. I got him down pretty quick by that point, but it was 5. He was super noisy sleeping so I kept checking on him until we got up at 7:15. Then I discovered that the dog pulled bones and ribs out of the trash. There is now sauce all over the carpet in the dining room.
E would not settle last night for anything. I tried changing diaper and clothes, rocking, bouncing, nursing, swinging... nothing worked. I even checked her temp bc she wouldn't stop screaming & I was worried something was wrong. She finally went down at 3 after 5 hours of on & off crying. I'm so tired.

This was us too. He cried on and off from 6:30-11:30
motownthrowdown what is it with grandmothers telling babies how horrible and mean their moms are??? My mom does this. She told Evie oh I'm sorry your mommy doesn't care about your future and won't go back to church and you're gonna be swept away at the great tribulation at the end. What. The. Fuck. Actually, bitch, I do care about her future which is why I'm keeping her away from that crazy religion. And my mom wants to move closer to us so she can see the baby more. No, no stay in Alaska with your ice and moose and Eskimos. Please. I love my mom, and without the religion thing she's awesome. She just left after staying for 2 weeks and pretty much cleaned, cooked almost every night, and gladly took care of the baby when I was too tired to and she was screaming and wouldn't settle, especially in the middle of the night. She was so sad when she left, I almost started crying. I miss being able to walk in her room at 3 am and giving a screaming child to her and mom being like yay baby! lol.
We only woke up once last night! E had started sleeping two long stretches, one 5-6 hour and one 4 hour every night for the past week now. Fx it doesn't go awayyyyyyy.
In other news my brother is pissed I gave our mom his kid's phone number. And is now changing the number. No one can hold a grudge like my brother. He still refuses to talk to his dad, 18 years now, since his dad kicked him out when he was 18 for selling drugs. Gaaaah.
Holy carp this turned into a long ass dear diary woe is me whinefest. Sorry guys.
Dh vent. He is changing jobs and has a lot of sick time, so he decided to call out this morning. He was going to make breakfast and help with the girls...except that he stayed up late, slept in and then when he got up needed to make a 20 min phone call and did not start breakfast until 10:15, we've all been up since 7:30. I ended up making dd1 an egg sandwich. He then doesn't follow the recipe for pancakes and just throws whatever measurements he wants of ingredients in the bowl, skipping some, adding water. If they turn out, fine, but last week we threw out the whole batch because he used baking soda instead of powder. Thanks for the help dh, I'd rather you be at work so I have no expectations of help.
