LO slept for 5.5 hours straight last night - the longest stretch yet! After several nights in a row of frequent wake ups I am very grateful.
I am also super excited that it is a long weekend so I have DH home for an extra day. LO is very clingy during the day, so I am thankful to have someone else home that can hold him sometimes. Babywearing is great but there are some things I can't do with LO wrapped up on me.
Speaking of babywearing, without these forums I'm not sure if I would have known about all the different options and for that, I am also grateful. I can't imagine what life would be like trying to take care of a newborn without babywearing.
ETA: Does anyone else feel like every time they look at their baby, it seems a bit bigger than the last time? This week, LO finally grew out of newborn sized clothing and I got a little emotional thinking about how fast he is growing.
E slept for 5 hours last night, only waking up once for a diaper change & feeding. She's asleep again now in her swing!
We have a microcell through AT&T since our apartment is a dead zone. I got a text this morning saying it's been moved away from the registered address so they've disconnected it. It hadn't even been moved an inch... and I can't call them bc I have no signal. So annoying.

Drinking coffee while DS1 watches Daneil Tiger and DS2 naps in his rnp. I have no idea what to do with DS1 until nap time. He wants to play outside but our mosquitoes have been awful and DH didn't close up his sand box and other toys so their all wet. When DH gets home from work, we're going to the fair with the in laws. That should be interesting.
DS1 has his "Skill Evaluation" for T-Ball today (he is 2!) before he is placed on a team. I'm super excited for him. It's just this Preschool Sports thing - so not Little League yet (he will be old enough next year) but the boy is obsessed with Baseball. Instead of Mickey or Jake requests, we get Baseball requests for TV time. He has slept with his glove and bat on numerous occasions and it's pretty much the only thing he ever wants to play! lol I half worry about his obsession sometimes but at least it's an activity that burns some energy - outside.

@aliam20 totally normal to be so excited about new appliances! I remember when I ordered my new washer and dryer...it was ridiculous how excited I was.
We slept in 2 hr increments last night instead of the longer 5 he gave me the night before. I knew it was to good to be true. We're taking baby C to meet his great grandma this morning and spend the day at my in laws
@missava387 I got excited when I realized I didn't have to wear a nursing shirt to target because M is staying home with H and I'll put pajamas back on once I get home!
Yeah for sleep or feeling like you got rest! H is cooking runs today and I'm running to the store. Relaxing mostly is the plan.
I got teary eyed last night when I put baby in a 3 month sleeper. Why is he so big already??? Stay small baby!
I find that growing out of sleepers happens faster than other clothes, especially with a longer baby. DS is still a size up in sleepers at 3.5 years old.
The twins have been soooo fussy and gassy last two days, so I've bought some gas drops to try with them. So far, after a nice long feed and being swaddled, they've been napping for 1hr 40mins. Hoping they do a full 3hr stretch just to have a break from the crying!
H won a rugby fan sweepstakes so he got flown out of town with 3 of his friends to attend the game, stay in a fancy hotel, meet all the players, attend an after party, yadda yadda. I'm happy for him but sad to be flying solo at home with our 3 week old and dog over a holiday weekend.
Amelia missed the memo about sleeping last night. She shrieks whenever we put her down. It's too early to spoil them, right?
Mine decided she only wanted to sleep while being held and walked around the house. Pretty sure I walked 14 miles throughout my house last night. E went 5.5 hours without nursing, then ate then another 4 hours without nursing. But decided sleep for mommy was irrelephant.

Yes. I remind myself of that constantly. "Pirahna doesn't hate you and want you to never sleep. He just needs you very badly and the only way he can communicate is through wailing. "

I'm hungry but I have a baby sleeping on me. I'm not sure if I dare put him down to eat. H is in the shower and our doula is coming for a post partum visit at 10.
Won't take a pacifier. Now won't take a nipple shield. I just want to give my nipples a little break since they're cracked. He won't take a bottle either so RIP nipples.
I've been up since 5:00 with a wide awake little girl. DH is at work and we don't even have Internet or cable right now because we just moved. Usually I would take her to the library or the mall because she always falls asleep but I'm too tired. Wonder Weeks app is right on point with her "leaps" supposedly
DD1 is all registered for mom and tot gymnastics! We start on the 23rd! I'm very excited for this. I really think DD1 is starting to feel left out. We've had a couple meltdowns when I've had to pick up the baby for various reasons so I think some one on one time with no baby to interrupt is exactly what she needs. I also started putting the baby down for naps in her cradle so we don't wake her up when we're playing....DD1 has figured out how to screech...ugh.
Piper Lilly-lee - Born Sept 11, 2013 New Tiny Human - Due Aug 7, 2015 August 2015 - July Siggy Challenge - After Pregnancy Plans It will start like this:
Teagan had a much better night last night. Woke every 3 hours to eat, but other than that was pretty quiet. She fussed a little, but not the all night screaming she'd been doing. Looks like the meds and new formula are working! She's a much happier baby.
