Oh my goodness Becky!! I am so glad to hear you are ok and will have no lingering affects from the stroke. How scary.

My husband has a friend that had a brain aneurysm rupture, and another that had a stroke on his brain stem. Both of them were seemingly healthy, 31 and 29 yrs old. These incidences happened within 4 months of each other. One survived, with minor vision problems, the other didn't. Never take for granted that you're "too young" to have a medical issue! We take headaches and "feeling weird" very seriously.

So glad you were able to get to the hospital so quickly and they were able to treat you. My gosh, haven't you been through enough?!

Side note - I just had a friend have a heart attack and subsequently a stroke because he ignored the signs of his heart attack and built up clots around his heart which eventually broke off and travelled to his brain. He is only 31. Moral of the story being don't ignore chest pain or stroke symptoms! This shit can happen even to young people and you have the best chances if you get help quickly.

This exact thing happened to my best friend's brother a year and a half ago. He was 34 as well. Only he was by himself and they found him on the garage floor. He had been there for hours. Turned out he had a mass of tissue in his heart that broke lose and went straight to his brain. They treated him as quickly as they could and he had an excellent team of doctors working with him. He's just now walking by himself with a cane and speaking in basic sentences.

Everyone needs to be aware of the signs of a stroke. It can happen to the healthiest of people. I'm so glad you're ok beckynsean11 and I'm glad you weren't by yourself when it happened. Please keep us up to date.

You are too sweet. You didn't scare me. It's something i'm very much aware of. My B/P started skyrocketing out of nowhere about 2 years ago. After switching some medications, it still gets elevated pretty fast but is now at a much healthier number.
