Ugh. DD is constipated so if the Miralax doesn't help by the end of the day, I have to give her a glycerin suppository....vom. I just....no. Please God, no. She had a few difficult poops this weekend and then one that was fine, but now I think she could be holding it in. :-( She's clearly uncomfortable.
She's on an extreme picky eating streak right now so I'm sure that's what's done it. Trying to persuade her to eat some damn fruit.

Warning: TMI
DS just pooped on the carpet, stepped in it and walked all over the place. I just spent the last hour cleaning it up. And to top it off my dog ate at least half of it while I was giving DS a bath - I'm really hoping she doesn't get sick, I've cleaned up my sh*t limit for the day.
AFM: For once DS didn't have a meltdown over having to go to daycare this morning, said love you back to me for the first time, and said thank you on his own when he wanted his blankie and I handed it to him. I have all the feels today. They grow up so fast!

In the middle of the "great blizzard of 2015" here, which was a bit underwhelming. But my husband has been working from home for the last 2 days and I am just about ready to get my pregnant butt outside and dig his car out so he can get to work. He is driving me crazy, making a mess and using too many dishes and Jack has been doing nothing but whining because Dada is home and not paying attention to him.

This sounds like we are having similar issues. Except I'm not pregnant and H just happens to be off today.

@aeroplaneoverthesea eek! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you guys are on the mend soon. It seems like everyone is getting some sort of GI bug. Both of my parents had to miss DD's birthday party due to nasty cases of it. DD had one in mid-December and I had a slight version of it. It was terrible. Hoping and praying we avoid it this month.
Nothing too exciting here today. I had DD's 2 year appointment this morning and then my grad internship. Now killing time before my class. I decided to spring for some Noodles and Company and went with something quite spicy. I have a feeling my pregnancy induced heartburn will be flaring up later...

@aeroplaneoverthesea I hope you and LO are feeling better.
luluandgirl Hugs! I'm sorry about the oooo incident. That is the worst
We lost power for almost 10 hours so the storm lived up to its predictions! Lots of wind and close to 2 feet ... Maybe more. I was SO happy when the power came back on!

DD was the first one through the door at school this morning! She turned around, gave a little wave and was like "peace out mom"
Potty training, getting out of the crib, getting rid of the paci… I feel like there are so many battles ahead and I'm 0% prepared to deal with any of it right now. I keep saying well we're moving soonish and so she'll need these things when we move and I can try it all once we're settled in DC. I'm not sure it'll be any easy then or if I'm just pushing it off.
Unfortunately DD has been sucking and chewing on her fingers so I think taking the paci would be too hard on her right now. I'm not sure where it's coming from because I don't think it's teething, I'm a little worried that it's a holdover from when we were in Burma. She got way too much attention and has been so shy since then and constantly wants something in her mouth for soothing.

i know today is wednesday, but this really isn't a wtf, and it really is random and i suppose posting it today for yesterday is kind of fitting? we were watching dr oz yesterday (well dh was) and it had a thing about adult onset adhd if anyone remembers my rant about me on the way to being fired (my next meeting is 2/6)....well...dh and i think maybe i have adhd? i mean, i do have problems focusing... who would i go to to talk about that? i don't really have a primary dr...my baby lady dr wouldn't be able to help with that? would she? she's actually the only dr i see regularly...and she is aware of the situation at work? totally random i know... didn't really feel like posting a whole new thread on it.....

littleheaven i think you would need to try a primary doc first. You don't have a reg doc you see for physicals or when you get sick?? Can your ob rec one?
littleheaven Find a primary. I just did it for the first time in 10 years and I'm so glad. They can show you where to start! Look for internal or family medicine. The only difference really is that family doctors see newborns and up, while internal medicine is more so just adults.

littleheaven I would bring it up to your OB. She wouldn't be able to help directly but she should have some ideas and references. A psychiatrist would most likely deal with ADHD and I am sure your OB has recommendations due to woman getting PPD or PPA. However, I will also say get a primary! I only go once a year but it is nice to know I have a general doctor if I ever need an opinion or referral. OB/GYNs are just too specialized to help with most everyday things not related to vaginas or fetuses.

chilibeansm0mmartha919TheEleventhHour thanks yeah i know i should get a primary...not sure why i don't have one...always had an aversion to drs....still went to a pediatrician when i was in high school....then went to an ob for the first time when i met dh (9 years ago) i really like my ob...so i'll call her first...maybe she can recommend someone.....i don't know...maybe i'm just grasping at straws to find a reason that they shouldn't be able to fire me....
