Hello, I am not asking if this is normal during pregnancy because each pregnancy is different, I'm just wanting to hear anyone's experiences similar to mine. I've been cramping for 2 weeks now, it's felt like my period was going to join me for the first week and I've had sharp pains on either side at times. None of the pain is so bad that I've bent over and had to stop what I was doing or anything. It's been dull for the most part. I've called my doctor and I'm waiting for a call back to discuss this with her in case I need to go in or anything. But these sharp pains at times concern me greatly. I've had no bleeding or spotting and I have been (Sorry if this is gross) really gassy lately and had a change in my BM's. I feel like the cramping is due to that but the sharp pains I just don't know what's causing those. I've been taking it easy too, anytime I feel a sharp pain I sit down or lay down and try to relax.
If anyone could share any of their stories with this, that would be great. I hope the doctor calls me soon!

Thank you, I hope that's all that it is for me as well. Just cramping, it's settled down today and my doctor said to call if it gets worse. If I have bleeding with it I need to go into the ER. I'm trying to stay positive but we're going to Utah tonight for 5 days, so I'm nervous of anything happening while I'm away.

I hope you feel better. Try to relax and stay positive. With my first I felt crampy for the first couple of weeks. It felt like I was right about to get my period. This time I am feeling the same way which is why I waited to test a week after my period was due.
I still cramp now and then. It's normal. Your uterus is growing and pushing on other organs. Plus if you are gassy that will cause cramping too. I was super gassy yesterday and so uncomfortable, I could feel it rumbling and stuff. Try stool softeners if you are having problems with your BM's and my doc even said I can take Miralax (which I did last night which helped me to fart and that helped the gas). Just remember, if there's no bright red blood and no really bad pain, 99% of the time it's "normal". Good luck.

Thank you all for the replies! We just got home last night from our trip to visit my husbands parents. The cramping has really decreased and I think a lot of it was gas. I took it easy while there and took a few things that his mother, who is a Nurse Practitioner gave me. She said it was safe and I trust it, I think it was just some stool softeners. Anyways, those helped a bit as well but I'm going to give prune juice a try each day. I've never been so constipated, (TMI sorry) in my life. I'm so glad to know I'm not alone in this cramping though, that does really ease my mind a bit. Thanks ladies!
