E (almost 8 months) is still nursing at night, but it would be awesome to not change her. She currently wears large GMD fitteds at night and I have to change her after about 6 hours. Last night I accidentally went 8hrs and she was soaked.. Jammies and sheets etc.
I've tried doubling with a prefold, but I still have to change her midway so it didn't seem worth the bulk. Are there any overnight diapers that will hold that much pee?? Or am I stuck changing her until she stops night nursing??
Yes, oh my gosh this. I finally got a few because E was leaking out the legs of her freetimes overnight (I don't change overnight unless she poops) and they hold SO much! I love them. Definitely worth the cost.
At about the one year mark I had to start adding absorbency to DS's night diapers (he STTN about 50% of the time at that age). We use flats. I fold together two flat diapers and add a doubler (Thirsties hemp or velour), and that is pretty leak proof. It's a massive night diaper, but I let out the rise snaps on the Thirsties DuoWraps and it works great.
I'm in the weird boat of not liking Sbish. They hold a lot but the fabric gets almost hard when it's soaked. I like a Tots Bots fitted paired with Geffen baby hemp.

We have one of the new-ish Bummis dimple diapers and I really like it for how trim it is, but we'll have to see how it fits in the future, because the rise is perfect now and it's all the way unsnapped, so if M stretches out any more it won't work. But I know baby bodies change a lot, so I'll reserve judgement. For right now I love it because it's trim and holds a lot. The end.
ETA I also have one TT that we love, and a snapless S'bish that we also love but I never reach for because it's so hard to pin with DS trying to roll over constantly.
I've been using a large bamboo flat, folded with a FST, and some sort of help insert. Some nights the diaper is soaked, sometimes only half of it is wet. washes up well. Even with my toddler I still don't have to do anything extra in the morning. No stink or rashes.

What kind of cover are you using? Wool is always the best for that, I've found. We use a fitted (like Twinkie Tush or similar) and then I add a few doublers to it. It's a giant booty but it works.

This is very similar to our setup, which is A pad folded FST with a Thirties hemp insert.
