I took today off because we are leaving today to head up north fir my H's half ironman race(thank goodness it's here and his training is done for the year we can go back to an easier workout schedule for winter). I'm laying in bed wide awake at 6:30 with lo sleeping on my arm only thing better would be if I could sleep:-) My H only took a half day today so we will be leaving around 1:00 when he gets home. My Dad is coming over this morning to help with lo so I can pack and maybe work a little. It is supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow morning when the race starts so I'm digging out winter clothes!
Good luck to your H spikesmom. It was mid 90s for a couple of days this week and it was 68 in my living room this morning with the windows on. crazy. Good luck with the cold weather, too. I didn't even look at the weather up north for the weekend. Is that North East?? eep.
I dont have Liam for the day so I have high hopes to catch up on work, cleaning, and everything else that needs to be done.

spikesmom - Good luck for the half Iron man race, that takes some serious strength. Also, 40s?! I mean I am all for cooler weather but not really cold.
jjh1119- yay for catching up! Did you have your scone?
We have a cross country trip in 2 weeks. Am planning to bring an umbrella stroller and LO's bucket carseat. Would like to gate check both items, but having a hard time figuring out how to transport the carseat from the car/curb to the gate. Help?

I did not realize how often I say that I want to eat soup during this pregnancy. Apparently alot because Isaac has been saying "eat soup". DH said that I mention it at least twice a day. We also taught him to say his name. So when we took him grocery shopping, he was fussy and out of nowhere cries his name. Like he was saying what about Isaac? It was cute. I am starting to look at all the pink frilly things. We did foxes and owls for Isaac so I am thinking birds and bunnies for Evie. I am obsessed with birds (sn) and woodland creatures.
gldnbearz we are doing bucket car seat and stroller. I didn't get the travel system so they don't attach either. I'm doing stroller to the airplane but car seat will be wrapped in bubble and Saran wrapped and checked with our luggage. Will it be both of you? I didn't even think about logistics of getting from the car INTO the airport lol!
I'm planning on bringing either my ergo or mei tai as well. Maybe I'll wear liam and plop everything else in the stroller to push and whatever doesn't fit H will carry....
So far I have cleaned out the shelf that was holding all the 4 oz baby bottles and pump stuff. I put that all in a tote for next baby and finally put Liams bowls and other things that have been hanging out on the counter into the cabinet. I guess he lives here so.. Probably should have a spot in the cabinets.
I ate breakfast and changed his sheet... I still haven't done any work work.
Is it weird that I DIDN'T have these things in its own "place"? Like... He was also kind of a permanent part of our family. And yet, I just left things on the counter not knowing what else to do with it.
You guys, I want Burger King. WTF... like I have been thinking about it all day.
Are we not doing the @ before names to tag anymore? I probably missed the conversation about it
spikesmom hope you guys have a good time and stay warm! 40 is cold, it's supposed to be 70ish today and I think that's perfect zengal running in the cooler weather is so much better. I ran yesterday with lo just in her regular stroller and lord was it difficult! jjh1119 hope you can get lots done today, I feel like when I'm alone at home I either get everything done or piddle around and get close to nothing accomplished! The carrier is a great idea for getting lo thru the airport gldnbearz no suggestions as we have not flown w lo yet but I will be interested in how it goes songbirdsinging55 your lo's vocabulary continues to amaze me! Love all the girly things, we did a woodland animal theme for lo's room and it's adorable
Los biting hasn't gotten much better, my poor nips are in bad shape. I spoke to a lactation consultant yesterday to get some suggestions...I'm really hoping those damn top teeth will just come in already and maybe I can stop being used as a teething toy!
Kfaye since there is so few of us, especially on mobile it's just easier to not have to deal with remembering everyone's name and tagging appropriately ;-)
I'm sorry about your nips (only in an online message board would that phrase even be said I think!) I hope LO learns to hold back on the biting and you guys figure it out.
Ahh! Speaking of teething. So like I have big teeth lol. Like a big mouthful of large teeth. And Liam's top two teeth are looking LARGE. Like, very wide for baby teeth hahah! I swear once they are fully out I will take a pic. For now they have broken through entirely just haven't come all the way in. In the meantime here is a pic of the most amazing thighs ever.
Thanks for the heads up jjh! I agree a mom's online forum is the only appropriate place to talk about nips. Those thighs are awesome, and wow look at him standing up!!

So I'm thinking stroller her through the airport. We'll have the Baby Bjorn with us. zengal I have the carseat and stroller gate check bags from Amazon in my cart. jjh1119 I don't think I have time to bubble wrap the carseat for check in with luggage. It's a neay idea, but we're in a bloody 7am flight as it is. Good idea about putting kid in the carrier and using the stroller to lug stuff, including the carseat and maybe my pump. It'll be MH and I.
I didn't realize there were gate check things! I'm going to look that up myself.
We have an 8 am flight midweek so we won't have time to bubble wrap- I wasn't thinking that far in advance (we don't use the bucket infant seat anymore in our cars which is why it didn't cross my mind)

JJH - Burger King Cravings? Am I really going to be the first to ask if you could possibly be PG??
gldnbearz - Flying ... I'd try to get through the airport with both the stroller and the carseat, and gate check them both. Good luck!
LO took a 2 hour nap in his PNP this morning, I almost did a victory dance. He has regressed big time on not wanting to sleep anywhere where he can't be touching DH or I, so this was a big win for us. Work has been really quiet today, my customer is in NYC based in the financial district and most people don't work on 9/11. Such a sad reason for my day to be quiet. I teared up this morning when I went out and lowered our porch flag to half-mast. Such a somber day.

jjh1119 - I use one of these to gate check LO's carseat and stroller (I have 2, one for each).http://www.amazon.com/Childress-Gate-Check-Bag-Seats/dp/B000RRD7UG/ref=sr_1_1?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1442002360&sr=8-1&keywords=gate+check+bag
I agree with you ninergirl that today is somber. Also, no I'm not PG I just ovulated a couple days ago. But let me tell you, it was delicious! I get a craving for it about 1 or2 times per year.
I went around 2 which in fast food world is the best time to go because no one goes and they usually have to make everything fresh on the spot. I actually had to wait for it because the fries were still frying. Fresh crisp delicious fake potatoey goodness

jjh1119 We are still using the bucket carseat and haven't upgraded to the convertible carseat. We'll be using the carseat to the airport. We're thinking of not taking the base and using the seat belt only approach in the rental car at our destination. We had to practice installing the carseat without the base. What a pain in the rear. ninergirl52 I am looking at those same bags.
Wow, now I'm craving BK too...fresh fries sound amazing.
Anyone tried the 12 month carter's jammies yet?? I looked at some at the store and I know they are supposed to be snug fit or something but it looks like her arms wouldn't even fit!

kfaye - my LO is currently growing out of his 12 month Carter's jimmies. From what I can tell they seem to run really skinny. LO is pretty thin so it's worked out ok. But we've gone ahead and moved onto 18 month pj;s.

Liam wears the snug fit pajamas in size 18 months. The arms are a bit snug. He's 30" and about 21 lbs as of two weeks ago.
yay for stitch fix zengal! Mine is coming in mid next week! I have loved everything so far and am wracking up the 25 dollar credits because I tell EVERYONE about it haha

Kfaye I call DDs 12 month jammies her baby wet suit. It took some work to get them on tonight. She moved into them today. I'm not sure I like the snug fit of them.
I think because (thankfully) they no longer spray them with fame retardants they go above and beyond to make them as snug as possible. Essentially making them a size smaller. So I think the 12 month is more 9 month sized, and 18 month more 12 month, etc. Liam is still wearing 9-12 and 12-18 for everything else but the jammies
