Let's talk about fall decorating. Add your pics!

It's the first day of fall. Yay! I can't wait to decorate. Basically our house becomes a showpiece every year between October-December. I need a break in my crazy schedule to get started though, and that likely won't happen until next week. 

Do you like decorating? As time goes on maybe we can share pictures for those of us who are really into it.

We aren't big decorators but I want to get more in to it. We don't usually do more than buying some pumpkins. I miss our old neighborhood that had so many large trees changing colors.

Maybe we will do a fall wreath. I also want to do some crafty fall stuff with C, although she is kind of young.

Anyway, look forward to others' posts.

Yep! I have all sorts of fall things, but Christmas is when we go all out! I have a tub of fall stuff that I set out, a wreath, some smelly good things, some garland with wooden leaves, etc.

We don't really go crazy decorating other than Christmas. Which now that I think about it might be really cut down due to the toddler running amuck in my house! I would love to live vicariously through others though!

My fall decorating involves putting away the summer patio furniture and making Pinterest boards.

We tend to be last minute decorators. As is 2-3 days before Halloween we run around and make and buy decorations. We're now starting to accumulate more decor for the other seasonal holidays (other than Christmas), so we'll see. I like decorating and making holiday art with the kids is fun.

We have some Halloween signs we put in the yard, we decorate pumpkins, but that is about all.

We carved pumpkins for the first time in years last Halloween. We don't have kids but my in laws were in town a few weeks before and it was the perfect activity for us all to do together. We're definitely doing it again this year.

We're boring.. No fall decorating for us. We don't even decorate for Halloween.
Christmas is the only time of year we go crazy with the decorations. I've always wanted to be one of those people who have a theme for every season, but I'm not that creative.

This isn't our house but close to Halloween last year I cut out some bats and put them on the inside of a lamp shade. It was easy and I loved it!

I also hung some bat garland from our chandelier in the dining room. We carved pumpkins with some friends and I bought a couple of the fairytale pumpkins to put by our door. I'm usually more of a fall decorator than a Halloween one.

A standby is acorns in a mason jar with a votive. I also love to put out a collection of little gourds.


Edit- I forgot to add, I also cut out a spider.....it was pretty creepy

We are not classy halloween, we nailed about 10 rubber bats on the side of the house, we are the people that have the blow up witch in the front yard- and about a 1/2 dozen ghouls tied to the zip line. Toned down the wierd creepy skeletons and things for a bit....

Finally took pictures to share what we have. It's fairly simple, we also have a few candles with acorns and a vase with miniature corn.
