H would be possibly be open to it. He's a homebody and a bit anti-social, but if he knows what he getting into, going in, then he can put on a good show.
It was just a thought. Funny how most DHs prefer to be at home.
I think the men would need a GTKY before a meetup lol. My DH usually goes with the flow on meeting new people but he's more interested in talking tech stuff and gaming than baby stuff. So he's probably less interested in meeting new people than we are because of that, but we would still be interested ;-)

I think a G2G with LO's and SO/DH's would be a good idea before jumping into a group date. LO's are good ice breakers. Maybe in March we can do one.

My DH would totally be in. He needs daddy friends.
And I agree that doing the G2G with LO's and DO/DH's the first go 'round would be a nice ice breaker for everyone. Then maybe in the future we can think about without the kiddos.
I also agree that March would be great for this. We've already got a weekend G2G in early Feb and our ladies only end of Feb. So maybe beginning to mid March would be good for this! Yay. Great idea mominthemaking14!

Maybe to help the guys, we could start our own GTKY thread for them and we could post about our DH's, their interests, etc and share with our DH's so they kind of "know" something about each other going in. lol.
ladytiffany24 I almost suggested something like that but thought it might be a little weird lol.
I def thought it was a little weird too when I typed it. lol. But thought it could be helpful if I said to DH "Oh, so and so also really likes sports. His favorite team is such and such." Idk. haha.
And my DH is a very simple guy, so I know I can speak to his interests. Food, beer, sports, skiing and the stock market. He's a man's man.

DH is also a social butterfly. He has a weird schedule so that might be hard. I'll ask if he's up for it. He's said before he doesn't need me planning him man dates but this is a bit different.

My DH has no problem talking to people regardless if he's met them before, but lately he prefers the couch to company. But he has been working extra hours so that probably has something to do with it too. He'll go places if I make him. So I'm a maybe.
I love the idea of date night out without the babes but I also like the idea of having a potluck at a park in the spring or summer with the babe and cornhole- ice breaker...

I love this idea! I can't even remember the last time I was at a park.

DH and I were actually talking about this yesterday! We need some couples friends with kids to hang out with. He's down for it. As for the beer thing, he doesn't drink beer, or much at all for that matter, but doesn't mind when people do.
