What's your weekly grocery list? Yogurt, eggs, milk, oj, sandwich meat, bread, cream, and then whatever I need for dinners.
Daily meals? I did my grocery shopping Saturday so I'll go from there. These are the meals I'm planning, although they may not be on the days given.
Saturday- tilapia using this recipe. It's my favorite fish recipe, so delish. We always have rice pilaf with fish and I have broccoli. That's always what my mom made when she made fish.
Sunday- frozen pizza, because football.
Monday- Tortellini soup and garlic bread. This is one of my favorite recipes ever. I halve it since the full recipe gives us waaaayyy too much. Half recipe gives us two bowls each.

Weekly grocery list:
Lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes (red and Yukon Gold), bell peppers, onions, various meats, bananas, strawberries, spinach, milk and yogurt.
Meals: I take all left overs for lunch the next day. (Besides tonight's dinner none of these are set in stone for that particular day, but these are the meals I'm cooking this week)
Sunday: Steak, baked potatoes and roasted corn on the cob Monday: Ginger chicken with brown rice and wilted spinach Tuesday: Crockpot pork carnitas with homemade guacamole Wednesday: BBQ chicken with grilled veggies Thursday: Blackened pork chops with roasted potatoes and steamed veggies Friday: Crockpot chicken with brown rice and roasted potatoes Saturday: Shredded chicken burritos
What's your weekly grocery list? Fresh fruit/veggies, milk, bread, eggs, cheese (we buy blocks and shred ourselves), lunch meat, trying to think of our other "staples"...
Daily meals? Days subject to change based on H's call/OR schedule.

Favorite recipe? I make a mean 3 Bean Turkey Chili that's usually my go to.
Are you planning on food prep? Nope. I work very PT so there's really no need to. H takes sandwiches or leftovers for lunches.

Can I join? This week we don't have hello fresh so we have to plan the whole week, which is rare for us. We tend to do shopping all week, I got a bunch of staples and breakfast and lunch stuff for me this weekend. Daily meals? Sunday: meatloaf and jalapeño Mac n cheese (not healthy but oh so tasty). Monday: burger sliders with chopped salad Tuesday: chicken tenders with panko breadcrumbs and sweet potato fries, salad Wed: lemon basil chicken thighs with lemon butter pasta and steamed kale Thurs: salmon packets with potatoes and kale Friday: out to dinner Favorite recipe from this week: Meatloaf--we do all kinds but this simple one is really good with few ingredients. One onion, chopped 1.5lb lean ground beef (or lean ground turkey works well, add a little extra milk and/or another egg to help it stay moist). 1 egg 1c milk 1c breadcrumbs Mix together above Top with: 2tbl ketchup, mustard, brown sugar 1tbl Worcestershire sauce Mix together and top Cover with tin foil, cook at 350 for 50 mins, remove foil and broil 5-10 min until topping is bubbling. Sometimes we cook the onions in some butter first, but usually I'm too lazy. We've also added sundried tomatoes and chopped spinach for a simple way to make it a bit fancier/healthier. Nothing prepped this week but all the meals are really simple to make each night.

IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

I do my meal planning a little differently. I shop for meats every 2 weeks or so and get milk, bread, eggs, etc as needed in between. I don't assign meals to specific days. I just put meal cards onto my calendar so I know what I have to cook and pick whatever I feel in the mood for that day. That being said...

I recently had a freak out over what we were spending on groceries a month, it was getting out of hand. So I decided to really try to be better about lists and meal planning to see if we could cut back. This week, we are having:

I never do meal planning, but it's worth a shot! Here is my attempt for this week, I'm going to try and make a few things I've pinned and never actually tried.

What's your weekly grocery list? Went shopping Friday, I bought meat, mangos, red peppers, spaghetti squash, cheese, milk and a ton of other stuff. Daily meals? These may get moved around depending on our mood. Tonight was thai mango chicken Monday- Chicken alfredo and "spaghetti" (squash) Tues- Tacos Wednesday- chicken and dumplings in the crock pot Thursday- Indonesian peanut saute Friday- Steak tortelli and mushroom sauce
Favorite recipe? H absolutely loved the Thai Mango chicken I tried tonight and is already begging me to make it again, so I think it was a hit. Are you planning on food prep? Sort of, anything that I can make in the crock pot I will prep the night before so when I get off work in the morning I can dump it in and sleep while dinner cooks.

Autumn Apple Chicken 1 tbsp canola oil 4 bone in chix thighs, skin removed 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 medium Gala or Fuji apples 1 medium onion, chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 1/3 cup BBQ sauce of choice 1/4 cup apple cider or juice 1 tbsp honey
1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown chix on both sides; sprinkle with salt/pepper. Transfer to 3qt slow cooker; top with apples. 2. Add onion to same skillet; cook and stir over medium heat 2-3 mins or until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in BBQ sauce, Apple cider, and honey; increase heat to medium high. Cook 1 minute, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. Pour over chix and apples. Cook, covered, on low 3.5-4.5 hours or until chix is tender.
I haven't tried this yet. It will be a first for us. Found in the Taste of Home Simple & Delicious cookbook that gets mailed to me every couple months. My mom started buying a subscription for me for Christmas when I moved out and has renewed it every year since. Best gift ever.

What's your weekly grocery list? Bread, milk, cheese, raisins, salted stick butter, mushrooms, and snacks for H's trip.
Daily meals: Homemade pizza for one night (pepperoni and mushroom for H, and mushroom, caramelized onions, and fresh basil for me!), chicken salads another night, and probably out to eat for the rest of the week (H is going OOT, and I eat out so much while he's gone -lots of sushi for me!).

gabride2010, I use this recipe and usually serve it over the premade Buitoni tortellini.
•1 lb flat iron steak •1 tsp salt •1 tsp pepper •6 tbs butter, divided in half •3 cloves garlic, minced •10 wt oz crimini mushrooms (baby bellas), quartered •1 cup white ale •¼ cup heavy cream •1 tsp minced fresh rosemary •salt and pepper to taste •Pasta, cooked al dente and drained •
Directions •Cut the steak into 1/8 inch strips. Sprinkle on all sides with salt and pepper. •Melt 3 tbs butter in a cast iron skillet until hot. Add steak and cook until browned, removed from pan. •Add the remaining 3 tbs butter, mushrooms and garlic, cook until the mushrooms have darkened, about 5 minutes. •Add the white ale and cook until the beer and butter has reduced by about half, about ten minutes. •Turn off heat, stir in the cream. •Add back in the steak and simmer until slightly thickened, about 8 minutes. •Season with rosemary, salt and pepper. •Serve over pasta.

On my grocery list: milk, eggs, yogurt, bread, bananas, onions, peppers, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, red cabbage, bacon, pork tenderloin, whole chicken (I will cut up at home to save $$), brie, salami
Meal plan: Sunday: mixed greens salad tossed with homemade maple-walnut vinaigrette and baguette with cheese and sliced meats Monday: roasted pork tenderloin with sweet and sour red cabbage and sweet peas Tuesday: Brinner! Lemon-Ricotta stuffed French toast with berries, bacon, and eggs Wednesday: grilled Chicken shwarmas with pita Thursday: Bacon & smoked Gouda Rosti potatoes (like a giant stuffed latke) and salad Friday: MH's favorite chicken parm with linguine Saturday: ?? See what is leftover and go from there
I might do some meal prep. I usually buy whole chickens and butcher at home right away, freezing the bones and wing tips for making stock. I will fry up extra bacon on Tuesday to use in Thursday's meal.

What's your weekly grocery list? This week I didn't buy much because I only planned one meal. DH might be working Th, Fri, Sat nights and I don't really cook a big dinner when he is gone.
Daily meals? Monday- Lasagna(frozen from an Omaha steaks package someone sent us) Tuesday- Crock Pot Asian Pork with Mushrooms Wednesday- Leftovers Thursday- Leftovers Friday- Prob eat out
favorite recipe? I have way too many! One of my current favorites is Pollo in Potacchio. I haven't tried it in the crock pot yet. I usually cook it all day long in my dutch oven. So good!
Are you planning on food prep? I will prep the asian pork recipe the night before so that I can just turn on the crock pot in the morning.

favorite recipe? I do a lot of Skinnytaste recipes. I love this Sausage & Escarole recipe (although I usually sub turkey sausage and spinach because it's cheaper) and the buffalo chicken recipe above.
Are you planning on food prep? I do a lot of lunch food prep on Sundays. I grill a bunch of chicken, make some brown rice and ~4 lunches for H and I during the week. Then we also eat leftovers as we have them. We aim to bring our lunch everyday.
