I will start (my motivation for starting this was not complete selfless).
Does anyone here already have swollen ankles? For non-first timers, did you have this and when did it start? My ankles were fine. I get up from dinner and I suddenly have massive cankels. I'm a little nervous because I have heart and kidney issues and I don't know when swollen ankles and feet become a normal pregnancy thing.
This is your body's way of saying drink more water. Rest with your feet elevated and get hydrated. It definitely can happen at any time, but as your pregnancy progresses you'll want to keep an eye on that because it's also a sign of preeclamsia...I had that with my first, (it is more common in FTMs), and it can get serious quickly.
But for now, drink and elevate! It's the less sexy form of the bend and snap!
Groin was the word I was looking for yesterday. And oh my god is it worse, I hardly slept last night. I used Dr Google and found something called SPD that sounds spot on to what I'm experiencing. And it sounds like there is nothing I can really do for it. Miserable.
Is it just me who still has this constant growing pains in the uterus? It's not painful, just... a bit uncomfortable.
I don't feel growing pains in the uterus, but I feel my stomach expanding ... like the skin stretching. I remember this from DD but didn't think it would be so bad this time since it has already stretched once. Still very uncomfortable though!
My main/most troublesome symptom continues to be nausea & vomiting. I have not yet resigned myself to this (or the nausea, at least) lasting my entire pregnancy as it did with DD, but I may need to soon. <whimper>
I would love to have a third child someday, but pregnancy really kicks my butt. I don't know if I can do this again. (Which is an improvement -- a month or two ago I told DH in no uncertain terms that there was NO WAY I was doing this again.)

I had SPD during my second pregnancy. I saw a chiropractor and that gave me relief. Lateral motions should be avoided (getting out of bed, getting out of car - good luck avoiding them!). Hang in there.
My morning sickness is getting worse instead of better.
Ditto. I've been up for an hour dry heaving in the toilet. Guess I can't skip the unisom yet.
Triple Ditto to both of you Started the day by throwing up bile all morning. Second trimester starts tomorrow and my hopes of it bringing feel good days are slowly draining....I know it'll pass eventually one way or another, but I'm definitely ready to be able to brush my teeth and eat without throwing up and/or feeling like crap.
I hope you all have a better day than they've started out!

Yep, I mentioned this yesterday too and I'm pretty sure it's SPD again. It's no fun. I hope you feel better.

No swollen ankles for me just yet. I'd check in with your doc to make sure everything is okay. Sometimes swollen ankles early on is an indication of high blood pressure.

Mine too! Granted it's not everyday but when it hits... Good lord it's horrible.
I have another 4 day headache going on and it seems to be getting worse!
Also, my lack of patience and ability to handle stress lately completely terrifies me.
The headaches are killing me. I'd rather have daily morning sickness!!!!! My dr told me to take Tylenol and have something with caffeine at the same time.

I've been trying, and it does help tone it down but it keeps coming back!! I want to go hide in a dark room forever!

Crazy dreams kept me up, experiencing some ute growing pains, and my tummy is feeling super tight, like I'm an overblown balloon. Headache has finally lifted!
My back is killing me. Still fighting allergies, and now I'm dealing with bleeding every time I blow my nose. I can't get over the congestion! My skin is itchy now too, due to the skin stretching. I think I just feel pregnant for real for real now with all the new things happening.
All I have done is cry today. I'm a total emotional wreck... I've made myself nauseous with all this crap. Haven't been able to eat anything, and I know I need to eat. I'm just stressing out so much.
Does anyone else have ongoing diarrhea? This is ridiculous. I feel horrible all the time and when I weighed this morning I was down 10 pounds from when I found out I was pregnant. That just is not normal for me. (I gained 70 pounds with my last pregnancy). My hair is also falling out in clumps. The combination of the symptoms made me call my doctor's office this morning. Still waiting on a call back.

I have kidney issues too, but I haven't experienced swelling. If you don't mind my asking, what kidney issues do you have?
I'd try to take it easy and rest if you can - and elevate your feet. I know I've woken up with my hands swollen during this pregnancy due to too much compression (I fell asleep with my seabands on, and it was tough the next morning). Did you have tight socks or pants on, or maybe even tight shoes?

I don't mind at all I have ALOT of protein in my urine (have for a long time) which is slowly decreasing my kidney function. I was on an ACE inhibitor before getting pregnant but had to come off.
It's mostly my legs and ankles but my hands have been swelling up occasionally too. I got different socks today because the other ones became too tight.
Hey, me too! Well, I don't have a ton, but I have enough, plus hematuria, to be diagnosed with IgA nephropathy. My GFR, at this point, is still > 60. I'm happy I'm not alone!! I haven't had any swelling so I can't help there - I'd check in with your nephrologist to see what he thinks. Do you have swelling not pregnant?

Has anyone been experiencing round ligament pain? How would you describe it? Does it only happen when you're moving around? I have been having some sharp pains and I'm pretty sure it's just rlp, but I wanted to see how you would describe them.

Yes, I've been having it since about 5 weeks. It's almost always one sided, and it feel like a rubber band was snapped along my hip bones. Only lasts about 30-60 seconds, but sometimes can double me over. I usually get it rolling over in bed or stretching funny.
