I was so bad about last week's thread. I totally posted and ran. Sorry!
We had a really good weekend. We went to Tot Shabbat and decorated the Sukkah at temple, and then yesterday we went to the state fair. C loooooved all the animals. It was super cute!
Since daycare is closed today for Sukkot (yes, yet ANOTHER Jewish holiday ), we're going to the zoo with some friends. We also had a follow-up doctor's visit for C this morning, and the doc said everything looks good - she thinks she just had a really bad virus, something on par with mono.
How was everyone's weekend? What do you all have planned for the week?
ladyannibal Do you already have your Halloween costume picked out?
lecky11 How was Corks & Canvas?? What did you paint? I'm always interested in those but I feel like I would just get drunk and Jackson Pollock the crap out of my painting.
Lol toratoratori. We went with a group of alumni from our college so we painted a scene from the campus. You should go to one, you would have a great time!
DH is going to his class reunion so it will be just G and I hanging out this weekend. I have a friend's wedding to attend on Saturday. Praying my little bean cooperates with me this weekend.

The weekend with the in laws was...ok I guess? It wasn't bad, MIL didn't get weirdly passive aggressive until yesterday when SIL texted and tried to bring mommy into the middle of an ongoing thing between her and DH (SIL wants one of the game consoles we own. We're not mailing our stuff to her cross country. Cue hurt feelings for no reason). I was basically done with having them as house guests by yesterday, and they left today. So, I wouldn't mind if future visits were maybe a day shorter. But no one got hurt, we all hugged when we dropped them off at the airport. And the cat and I were happy to have the house back to ourselves this afternoon!
Did you all see the moon last night? We were driving home from Boulder along the back highway, so we're able to pull off the road at a trailhead where there weren't too many lights. It was a little cloudy, but when we could see the moon it was pretty great! I tried to take some pictures, but haven't uploaded them yet to see if they turned out or not.

Lil kids are the cutest with animals! Glad she had fun and hope she enjoys the zoo! Happy Sukkot!
Working on it! The deacon who is doing the baptism is having complications with his surgery so we are waiting a while since it is my bff (her godmother)'s father. I didnt know deacons could perform baptisms so I learned something new! Plus, it will be super special since I grew up with him. Hopefully soon though! I dont think SO parents will be coming anytime soon and I have been slacking so hopefully by early November!

I'm forever boycotting the supermoon. It was supposed to make me go into labor last summer and it didn't! (I know this is an incredibly dumb reason. But I'm still mad about how long I was pregnant.)

YOU GUYS! C said "bye bye" and waved today when I dropped her at daycare. It was SOOOOO cute. We've been working on "bye bye" for about a week now but this is the first time she's really done it in the appropriate context and without a lot of encouragement.

Lol. I don't think the "super moon" effect was that amazing, but the eclipse was a pretty good one. It did get fairly red, partly from all the particulates in the air from the wildfires. It's always amazing to me that the things that make air bad to breathe make for the most beautiful skies.
