Strange RMPIM (Reasons my preschooler is mad)

Since we are all in the throes of the threes, let's see what strange thing is making your kid mad these days. My 3 year old gets mad if I try to sing in the car because only she is allowed to sing. Apparently. She says "No, mommy, stop it." She gets mad at her brother if he looks at her.

Because I made him leave school yesterday

Because I asked him to stop yelling in the car.

Because I won't let him have a lollipop at 8:30 am

Because T is playing with a toy he hasn't touched in months.

A shorter list is probably "things that don't make my toddler mad"

Because I woke her up.

Because I wanted her to get dressed.

Because I combed her hair.

Because I asked her to go potty before we left for DC.

Because I'm taking her to DC and not Grandpa & Mimi's.

Because she was cold and couldn't wait for me to put Eliza in the car first.


This all happened this morning.

Um, seriously, the list is way too long at this point.

This morning (in the 5 minutes we were both awake since I leave for work early), she was mad that I poured her milk and not Grandpa. She was mad it was a red sippy cup instead of a yellow one. She was mad I told her to not wake up Grandma. She was mad I brought Andrew into the same room as her. She was mad I wouldn't give her some American cheese.

Same here. She asks for juice. I give it to her. She gets mad cause I gave her juice.

because I made him take a shower. (he wanted to get dressed "right now!")
because I made him get out of the shower.
Because I put clothes on him after the shower.

Because I made him go potty before bedtime.

Because he asked for "one more" episoide of Einsteins, which I gave him, and then turned the TV off when it was over. Because, "one more again"

Because I won't let him ride the dog. (But, moooooom, we best friends!)

Because the dog won't play with her.
Because the dog is trying to play with her.
Because the dog's tail is barely touching her blanket.

OMG, this too!!  Hanna will ask a question, I'll answer and then she'll say "what?"  I'll answer again a little louder and slower thinking she just didn't understand me.  And again, "what?"  It gets so frustrating that I eventually just say nevermind.  And the way she says what is actually kind of funny.

Oh, the constant "What?" drives me crazy!  After a few times I just end up completely ignoring her if she keeps asking me and then saying "what?"

Because she ate all the marshmallows in her "marshmallow cereal" (Lucky charms).

Because I won't let her have fruit snacks at 6:30 in the morning.

Because I gave her pedialyte instead of water.

Because the pedialyte was gone and I gave her water.

I feel like I can just write "all of the above" and it pretty much covers it. Omg he has been a pill lately. I never do anything right.

Because I made peas when he asked for peas.
Because I dried him off after bath.
Because I turned the water on when he couldn't reach. (Not sure what to do about that one because we would just stand there looking at the faucet all day)
Because I put him in the tub
Because I took him out of the tub
Because I told him what a word was but it was the wrong word.
Because I sing
Because I don't sing loud enough.
I seriously could go on for days. It's exhausting. William is easier to figure out. Because I'm hungry or gassy or wet. That's about it.

This morning while I was in the shower and she was supposed to be sleeping - .

She couldn't find her birds. They are toy birds that are life size in a cage and were on her nightstand, essentially in front of her face.

Because I wouldn't turn her light on right now (I was soapy and in the shower).

Because she couldn't find her new sticky bug from the quartet machine. I wasn't in the room when she set it down but I'm supposed to know where she put it for the 5 millionth time.

All of this was before she was even supposed to be awake!

New one tonight:
Because as she was getting into bed she asked for the door to stay open, so as I left the room I left it open, closing it every so slightly.

Apparently it was too open. So I closed it more and she cried that she wanted it open. I can't win.

Also she was cold so I put hey in jammies with pants... But they bunches up when she moved in bed, so she wanted shorts instead, then whined again that she was "burritos" (cold). So I covered her with her blankets again and she was mad at the way I did it?!?!

V likes to play with very small things like tiny little beads or micro plastic bugs. Of course she losses them and then it's a major meltdown. Where is my bead?! I want my BEEEAD!

That's so Avery! Where's my sticky hand is what we hear most. I keep telling both of my girls "I don't play with your toys so I have no idea where they're at."
