Same here! The first three weeks of school were four day weeks, so this week feels like it's dragging by. It doesn't help that the rain is pouring down outside. Even with an umbrella I'm drenched, and my right foot went into a huge deep puddle that I didn't see, so now I'm just miserable. It's days like this that I really miss being home, snuggling with the baby on the couch.
Yuck! I hope it gets better. We have rain here too. I brought a pair of shoes to change into.
We officially got 3.43 inches of rain, which is insane!
LO and I are going to a new mom's group in the city today. I think I want to find a new shade of nail polish for my friend's wedding on Saturday, too. exciting life!

My husband was a mess last night because he let his watering crew convince him to let them water, because "they have families to feed". Even though in their contract it says he can cancel if it rains. So he just sat there listening to the rain all night and being pissed off. Seriously. We got a shit load of rain!
Dreary and rainy here in Philly, too. It's just getting started here for us, though.
DW is bringing our cat to the vet today to see if the special diet she has been on has helped shrink the bladder stones she has. If it hasn't, then that means a $1,000+ surgery. DNW.
Also, PSA, it is NOT a good idea to try and squeeze in some extra snuggles with the 5 minutes you have before you leave for work in the morning. Those extra snuggles make it all the more heart-wrenching to leave.
I know what you mean. Right before DH took the baby this morning I was tickling him and snuggling. I miss him already!
Hope your cat does not need any expensive procedures! FX for you.
DD does the first half of the night in her crib, then typically I bring her into bed with me when she gets up to eat. This morning I woke up and we were face to face, she had already woken up, and when I made eye contact with her she smiled and 'giggled' (in her, I'm smiling and coughing at the same time kind of way). So far she's really only laughed when you tickle her. Day made!

It's 48 degrees here atm. Brrr. H finds it to be too much hassle to put J in a sleeper at night, so he has been in just a onesie, and moves around so much that his blanket is nowhere near him. We are having a talk tonight about this.
Not sure what I want to do today but I need to get out of the house. Has anyone done a Gymboree class was thinking about going and checking out the place today.

Try nursing from above the baby while laying down so gravity can help or pumping vertically and massage it out at same time

I'll try the pumping on next break I get, and I'll try the nursing position as soon as I get LO home tonight! Thanks:)

This is a true, true thing. I've been 5 minutes late to work every day this week b/c of this.

We got 8 inches here Sunday. The whole city flooded--we're used to tons of rain, but holy hell. I guess it's like Noah's flood all over the place this week.
Wow! Send some of it to CA. We're still parched. Although it's supposed to rain tomorrow... Fingers crossed.
I'm all hopped up on cold meds and walking around in a fog. I swear this was me on the couch last night
C is feeling better though and is not stuffy anymore and therefore back to sleeping through the night.
This is such good news! I hope Lo follows suit. She and I have had a cold for almost a week (took her to the ped and she said it was just a cold, thank goodness!). She was sleeping through the night like a champ prior to, and now is getting back up for what I think is a comfort nursing at 1-2. Mom, where are those antibodies I ordered in the boob milk?

I lurked once in a while so I saw what happened. I deleted my account after the May board imploded, I think it was the May board. Then we moved to Denver and I got bored and missed everyone.
If anyone wants to try the kiinde pump and storage system you can get a free sample of it for free with code FREE924 www.kiinde.com/sample_product.php You pay $3.50 for shipping but then you get a coupon for 50% off the system which is close to $100. I've been wanting to try it so I just ordered it just thought I would pass along in case anyone else had been eyeballing the system.
My boobs are going to explode. I have to go from 7:45-1:15 on Wednesdays without pumping because of my teaching schedule. UUUUGGGHHHH. At least it's only once a week that it will be this terrible.

mrsmonogrammed, if that doesn't work try a lot of heavy massaging in the shower and/or vibration prior to breastfeeding or pumping.

You Jamberry ladies... I ordered ones a while ago and watch a hundred videos but instill can't do it. I feel worthless.
Also my Stichfix just arrived but in nursing Jules and have to wait to get up and get it.m has anyone else tried stickfix? I'm obsessed.
I'm wicked good at nails and still find jamberry a bit difficult.
I'm sort of "eh" about stitch fix. I'd rather order a bunch of stuff and return what I don't end up liking. But I've never struggled to try new styles, so o think it can be good if you tend to get in a rut or don't have the time to shop around.
