Today is my follow up ultrasound to see if my placenta previa has moved at all, and my glucose test. Rawr... I just want a candy bar insanely bad for some reason. Ha.
Also... my morning began with my dog eating a hole in my scarf.... then my trainee didn't show.... and now I am getting ready to drink Glucola... awesome. This may be better suited for Wednesday Bitchfest.

I just had DH literally stuff me into my snowpants so I could help shovel the driveway. After about 1/2 hour I came back inside took off my coat and felt soo much better. I'm sure I made a beautiful picture with my belly hanging out of my snow pants and no coat on but I don't really care.

I feel like I've been in a crazy bubble of business (busy-ness?) and sickness since last Friday. I think that's how things might be for me until at least March, but not because of sickness, thank God. But my apologies for ignoring you guys, I promise I am loyal to GBCB and nowhere else.

DH got a call back today from consumers and they have another opening a little farther drive for DH and he can start in MARCH instead of MAY. Thank goodness, I was really worried about him starting the same month our son is born!

Having one less thing to deal with when baby arrives is great! Congrats!!

We're having a potluck for lunch at work today for our boss's birthday. I have been sneaking back there since 8:30am to eat the snacks that people are waiting until noon to put out.
When they took away our cubicles and gave us unassigned tables that we're required to wipe down with Clorox every day, a coworker who claims to be allergic to the smell of Clorox was given an office in another area. She comes over and spends about 3 hours a day chatting/meeting with people at the tables instead of having them come to her office.
Another coworker started wiping down her desk when she got in and the allergic one starts having a fit because she needs to wait until she leaves to clean her desk. Luckily the coworker that was cleaning is sassy and told her she needed to get to work and if the smell bothered her she should leave. It was amazing. But seriously, you have a private office - Go there. I'd kill to have a door, or walls, or any sort of privacy. Our managers don't even have offices anymore. Also, no one wants to listen to you have a meeting every day.
She also can't be near printers, because she's allergic to those as well, so when she sat in our area we lost our printers and now have to walk to the shared support station with another section of the building. We nicknamed her Printer55 because that was the printer we lost to her allergy.

My Baby Bear finally has crib bedding! It still needs to be washed of course but I just had to see it on his crib. Now I can finally match my paint colors and move forward with the nursery!

So cute!!!! And it's even cuter because it was free.

marybeth you rock that child as long as he will let you. I'm tearing up right now because my four year old won't let me rock him to sleep anymore. He nursed to sleep until he was over two and was being rocked to sleep every once in a while at three. There is not a single thing wrong with him wanting you to hold him. I rock and nurse my 18 month old to sleep every night and have no plans to stop any time soon.
Oh and we have an AP board here if anyone wants to check it out. Also a babywearing board and a BLW board.

Last night I watched Outrageous Birth Stories .. Has anyone else watched this show? its on Discovery Channel! I laughed and Cried! The one I watched last night one lady had her baby in a Tornado, One gave birth twice and One gave birth in her bedroom! As long as none of this happens to be Im good haha !
I was talking on the phone to my mom last night. I mentioned rocking Jack to sleep and she flipped out because he's almost four and I'm still rocking him to sleep 1-2 nights a week. I really don't think that so out of the ordinary... She thought it was horrifying.
So, who's the crazy one, me or my mom?
Your mom. I'm into self-soothing so rocking to sleep is not my thing by long before age 4, but if you enjoy it, who cares? It's only a problem if you don't want to be doing it. She's crazy for flipping out over that.

We are moving to a similar set-up next summer 2017 supposedly. I think your coworker gave me a great idea as to how to get my own office! I'm going to start laying the groundwork now.

I was reading an article about student loans randomly and started doing some research on loan forgiveness. I think when my husband finishes teaching this academic year, he will be eligible for up to $5,000 in loan forgiveness because he'll have been working at a low-income school for five years. Yeeeee!!

Good luck for your scan and glucose test
I think once everything is ok you should celebrate with a candy bar or 2
I should! Sadly... I celebrated with taco bell. Ha. My placenta previa has cleared up on its own.. and baby boy is doing great in there. No better news than that!
I had my GD test this morning and didn't think the drink was too bad. Pretty much like flat orange soda. My biggest complaint was that I couldn't drink water while I was waiting.
Also, I had a long chat with my OB about birth plans and while she seems mostly flexible and happy to work with me on the whole med-free birth thing (which is great), I foresee butting heads over a few things already. Should be interesting if I get past 41weeks... and the whole standard Pitocin post-birth thing too.

Wut?
OKAY YES!.. Bare with me, I'm no doctor..So there was something wrong with one of her valves ,the baby's urine wasn't getting out, and there was barely an amniotic fluid left around the LO, I guess it was something they could fix with surgery, otherwise The baby was probably not going to survive full term.. SO they preformed a surgery on the baby (HUGE RISK) by cutting the stomach open, taking the baby 1/2 out fixing the problem and then putting it back in!.. (giving birth twice).. First surgery the LO was 20w.. and than she gave birth fully at 36w Super interesting the baby survived, but there are many cases where it does not. And they celebrate both birthdays

You couldn't drink water?! The guy who did mine told me to drink water as much as I thought necessary. I didn't drink any, but was told it was totally okay. Also by a new guy who knew nothing but still... Boo.
Who knows?! It seems like every single lab/doctor is different with fasting or not fasting, etc so it doesn't surprise me that some let you drink water while you wait and others won't. I'm jealous. I wanted to rinse my mouth out really badly. My teeth felt coated in sugar.

That's insane! So many questions.... Did they get to see the baby at 20w? Was the second birth repeat c/s or vbac?
