Alright, my really bad toothache is being fixed with some antibiotics and tylenol. Thanks a lot, swollen pregnancy gums for holding infection easier.
We made it to Nashville after a couple hour's detour in Cincinnati so I could show DH around Jungle Jim's (it's an amazing 3-acre+ international food market) and go to my favorite bbq place, which unfortunately was closed for a couple days. So we ate at a Skyline (Cinci-style chili) which DH had also never experienced.
DS did really well in the car, stayed happy snacking and looking at books for the most part. He did not do so well in the hotel room, but once he did (finally) fall asleep, he didn't wake up until 6:45 (which is 7:45 in our usual time zone, so I actually got to sleep in a bit!)
I've finally been able to catch up on everything since the mass exodus so I'm excited to contribute again. I didn't want to before I caught up on all our random threads here.
My random is that our water lines need to be replaced in our house and for 3 weeks I've been calling plumbers and none of them will call me back. I'm going crazy
Another random, we've made a bunch of changes over the new year. We are back to a very strict budget and therefore I'm back to meal planning and making a lot of our food from scratch. In addition, my husband has recently become committed to a healthier lifestyle so the meals I'm planning are things that have more vegetables and are generally healthier. I'm annoyed that this creates so much extra work for me and thus has been cutting in on the time I have to GBCB. I'm hoping the longer this goes on the better I'll be able to balance.

My daughter comes in my room early this morning and wakes me by saying "I want to watch a show." It looked really dark out and felt really early and I told her "No. Go back to bed." She starts crying and gets all sad. I, being the softy I am, feel bad and go to comfort her. I look at the clock and it's 6:35am. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!! We normally leave at 7:20, and I have myself and two kids to get ready. I ran around like a mad woman...sweating and freaking out, and we all made it on time. I got to work at 7:59a, and was to be here at 8. :::whew:::
Another random-- I dreamt last night I was a Victoria's Secret model and HATED it. The girls were snooty and way too girly for my liking, and the tomboy in me wanted to quit.
Ugh I slept terribly last night. Also for you ladies who were laughing with me over my horrible work toilet experience yesterday...I made sure I pooped before I left my own house today. Lol

Today is my follow up ultrasound to see if my placenta previa has moved at all, and my glucose test. Rawr... I just want a candy bar insanely bad for some reason. Ha.
Also... my morning began with my dog eating a hole in my scarf.... then my trainee didn't show.... and now I am getting ready to drink Glucola... awesome. This may be better suited for Wednesday Bitchfest.

The Home birth one was the craziest!! I was laughing because she was laying there on the phone with her husband screaming that the baby was coming out and she felt her head! (her third baby)..and than she says "all of a sudden she (the baby) just slips out and plops on the bed".. WTF! I can't even.
My back is starting to hurt on the left side below my ribs. I've tried sleeping in different positions and a different chair at work but nothing is helping. But I am excited for left over Chipotle at work (we caterer lunch yesterday).
Ugh mine too!!! I found that by changing bras and going up a band size helped tremendously. I also have to sit with a pillow behind my lower back for support. I think it's from all the added weight to my front side between my boobs and my bump. Certainly hasn't gone away, but it has helped.

I'm calling winter officially over. The thermometer in my car read 79 yesterday. Just in time because I think my one jacket that still fits only has a week or two left before it can't zip.
@mommapizano - a new bra can really do wonders in pregnancy. My first I had a terrible pain on the bottom of my breastbone (about an inch below bra line). So much so that I called the nurse line and they told me to come in. After buying a bigger bra the pain went away all together.
I totally got mad at DH last night (kind of dumb but I'm sick of having TWO vacuums and neither one actually working; the belt came in for the Bissell and the roller brush for the Kirby... DH can't find the Kirby piece to finish it completely and said he couldn't figure out the bissell. So yesterday I put together the bissell but the belt is too big. When he came home I told him it was too big and he said yeah I know. Wait what? He said when he couldn't find the belt in stores he learned that the one we have Powerforce Compact, isn't actually part of the powerforce series. I was so mad he didn't fucking tell me this before!! He's like how did I know you would order the wrong part? Me: WTF you knew it didn't fit the series and that piece of info could have saved me ordering the belt that fits the series!! He didn't see where he went wrong and I was beyond mad) So I showered and told him to figure out what to do with the chicken for dinner. He made dinner AND ended up washing all the little dishes and Tupperware he saves for the weekend because week nights are so busy usually, and cleaned the kitchen (usually if he makes dinner it's a huge mess and I have to clean up). Moral of the story: I'm getting pissed more often. I'm still mad because I still have two non working vacuums!!
DD woke up randomly at 3 am, and decided to stay up on and off for most of the night. She kept crying and telling me her leg hurt, but I couldn't figure out why... Then she wakes up at 9 am like nothing happened. I have my nephrology appointment today, so I'm hoping the doctor will be able to figure out what's going on with my kidney. House is almost completely done. SO has been on my shit list for weeks, so I made him move everything out of the baby's room lastnight. I'm not doing anything with it yet, I just wanted to make him do something other than play his game
I was talking on the phone to my mom last night. I mentioned rocking Jack to sleep and she flipped out because he's almost four and I'm still rocking him to sleep 1-2 nights a week. I really don't think that so out of the ordinary... She thought it was horrifying.

@sastahlman - GL today!!
I'm so exhausted... Our dog had to get a booster vaccine yesterday and we think he had a little reaction to it because he got very lethargic and shaky. Needless to say I was up practically all night keeping an eye on him and the way he slept didn't leave me in the greatest position to sleep.

So, who's the crazy one, me or my mom?
Your mom (IMO) some kids just take longer. 1-2x a week isn't that horrible and you still get snuggles. He won't always want you to rock him.
When they took away our cubicles and gave us unassigned tables that we're required to wipe down with Clorox every day, a coworker who claims to be allergic to the smell of Clorox was given an office in another area. She comes over and spends about 3 hours a day chatting/meeting with people at the tables instead of having them come to her office.
Another coworker started wiping down her desk when she got in and the allergic one starts having a fit because she needs to wait until she leaves to clean her desk. Luckily the coworker that was cleaning is sassy and told her she needed to get to work and if the smell bothered her she should leave. It was amazing. But seriously, you have a private office - Go there. I'd kill to have a door, or walls, or any sort of privacy. Our managers don't even have offices anymore. Also, no one wants to listen to you have a meeting every day.
She also can't be near printers, because she's allergic to those as well, so when she sat in our area we lost our printers and now have to walk to the shared support station with another section of the building. We nicknamed her Printer55 because that was the printer we lost to her allergy.

Thanks! We do attachment parenting and it makes her pretty uncomfortable. When he was still nursing after he turned one she kind of lost it too.

Good luck for your scan and glucose test
I think once everything is ok you should celebrate with a candy bar or 2

I agree that some kids take longer, but 4 does seem a little old to still need to be rocked to sleep. That being said, It's not your moms place to flip out about that. You're the parent here, not her.
