Is 11 months too early to only do one nap? I cannot remember when DS1 started napping only once a day.... Sorry!
G was about that age when he dropped to 1 afternoon nap. It was actually great because he would take a 3 hour nap all at once I stead of 2 or 3 shitty short naps. He also started sleeping better at night.

Today I have to spend the entire day training my maternity leave sub. This is going to be painful. Lucky for her I just took a dump so I shouldn't kill her with my fumes.

DH and I lately have been having morning sex. We are both up early and it is seriously the only time we have since by the end of the day we are just too exhausted. Or home too late.

Is it starting to feel real?
I think so. My EDD is in a week and I've been told it looks like the baby has dropped.
There is just way too much going on right now for me to go into labor. My LO is sick and still having issues with mucus and throwing up in bed. DH might be getting sick. Today is my grandpa's visitation and tomorrow is the funeral. Sadly, baby Adelaide is getting zero attention and I'm getting even less.

DD usually does just one two hour nap a day.
Sometimes I can get her to take a second short one. She's almost 11 months.

I'm sorry for your loss ChickenOnSunday. I'm sorry the timing feels off. Hopefully she(?) waits a few days to let things calm down a bit. Was DD1 late?
I scrubbed my kitchen top to bottom on Saturday. Today it looks like a bomb went off in there. I'm working from home today so i will be cleaning on breaks.
How is so much mess created in a short amount of time? I feel like every day I'm constantly cleaning up.
I am saying the same thing constantly in my house! I feel like it looks the same no matter if I am working hard to keep it clean or if I DGAF.

That sounds like my house. With a messy DH, a one year old and 3 cats, nothing can stay clean for more than 10 minutes. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.
Yep, me too. I picked up that stupid stacking baby toy with the rings about 134576433 times yesterday. Right now it is all over the floor.
I am volunteering in my DS's kindergarten class today. I came downstairs dressed for the day (jeans, hoodie and a ponytail) and he says "mama all the girls in my class are going to think you are so pretty. But not the boys". Thanks, I think?!

They took DD1 via c-section at 37w4d due to potential complications. I'm trying for a VBAC this time. I have an OB appointment tomorrow and I know they will do a cervix check. I've not heard good things about how these things feel.
I'm handling the passing of my grandfather better than I thought I would. I can't go home for the funeral (in Iowa). He would have been 90 in April. He lived a good long life.

DS is sick, and we are supposed to fly to Florida tomorrow. Fever off and on since Sunday (low), cough, runny nose, nothing major. I'm taking him in though. I'm worried about ears and flying. Hopefully they are clear and we're good to go. For the most part he has been his usual self, but he is spiking a fever just often enough to make me miss work. Ugh
I woke up feeling like death today. I caught the cold DS had this week. He's seems to be better today other than having a cough.
Would I be a terrible parent if I send DS to daycare while I rest? He only has a cough left and no fever and is eating and running around still. He goes to a small in home daycare and I talked to her and she said it was fine to bring him today, but I feel guilty taking him while I'm at home sleeping??
How would that make you a terrible parent? He gets to go have fun and be in his routine. How fun would it be at home with you sick? I'm WAH. When I'm sick, they get movies and shitty food. Your plan sounds more enjoyable for him.
I guess because he's not 100% yet with this cough he has. But your right, we'd be here just watching movies anyways. DH said it's not like he's going to work, he's going to go play and hang out with his friends. Plus he's been indoors since Sunday he's probably going stir crazy by now.
Random latte related ponderence. I bought grassfed milk this week and it doesn't froth for me. It is non-homogenized. I wonder why it doesn't froth?
I don't exactly know about non-homogenized milk, but a while back my frother wasn't frothing so I called Nespresso to ask if they thought maybe I broke it and the guy suggested the milk might not be fresh enough. It hadn't gone bad, but it was almost to the sell by date. I bought a new gallon and it frothed right up.
Day two snowed in with the kids. DH went to work. I was expected to be at work, but what can you do when they cancel school! I have 3 feet, maybe more because of the way it drifted, of snow to clear off the back deck. They are still advising we stay off the roads, but i may need to bust out of here at some point. There's a sledding hill not too far from here, maybe we'll try to get there later in the day for some fun and a change of scenery.

I had to send one of my dogs to the vet this morning for a dental cleaning. I've been putting it off for too long because she has a mild heart murmur so she needs an EKG before they will put her under. I have the probably irrational worries about my dog child. My other dog cried at the door for like twenty minutes after my H took her sister. I wanted to cry with her. I'm going to be a wreck all day.

That's interesting. It's not close to the sell by date, but that likely doesn't mean too much.
DH took DS to daycare. I contemplated going back to sleep, but I've already been up for 3 hours so I'm just sitting here on the computer. We are going to pick him up around 2 and maybe go sledding or just play in the yard. Should clean something, but this place is such a shithole I don't know where to start and seem to be lacking in the caring department. Also I've been hacking up a lung since chasing FD down the street yesterday.

My first dropped to one at around 18 months but my second went to one really long nap around 9 months. Sometimes he still needs a small second one in the afternoon.
