Hello all, I had solely been a lurker at the old "place to be" until everything blew up just as I was ready to post an intro. I was referred here shortly thereafter and have been lurking for a little while and decided perhaps it was time to emerge from the safety of the lurking curtain.
I am 29, my husband is 28. We have one daughter that is his from a prior marriage who is 7 and tells me on a very regular basis that she is ready for me to have a baby. There's no way to tell a 7 year-old you are "trying" without then getting a lot of questions so we usually just change the subject. We also have a 9 year-old daughter from his previous marriage that we only get to see on occasions now because she is not biologically his and his ex is a heinous person and uses her children as pawns.
We have dated for 5 years now, but just got married last October and have been TTC since then. Thankfully my cycle was pretty predictable, but this month we started using OPK's and temping just to reassure ourselves that we were on track with when I am ovulating.
I'm excited to have somewhere to share all of my fears, worries, and thoughts because I'm pretty sure my coworkers have no desire to hear any more about it since their usual response is "as soon as you stop trying is when it will happen". Actually, last time I checked you do actually have to have sex and try in order for it to happen, but whatever.
