Anyone ever been invited to a wedding where the hosts ask the guests to dress in a certain color palette? I'm going to my first gay wedding this weekend and still haven't found a dress in the colors I'm supposed to wear. So I'm going to end up shopping the day of to find something. It's too late to do Rent the Runway

Not for any wedding I've been to. And I assume this is not what they are going for, but I have heard of it for traditional Nigerian (and Ghanaian maybe?) weddings.
emilie, Brides and/or grooms (or hosts) are not supposed to dictate what any invited guest wears. I do not understand this, at all. I just wanted my guests to be happy and comfortable.

Not for a wedding, but for the bridal shower, we were all asked to wear white/cream.
I also had a friend who did not have a bridal party, but asked the women in her family to wear white for the her wedding.

Yes. I've gotten an invitation to one where the guests were asked to wear black or white or a combo of the two.

Holy cow, I just saw a picture of John Goodman. I guess he has lost a bunch of weight! I hope he's healthier and feels better; he has always been a favorite of mine.
What the heck is it with people who feel it's ok to scroll through your pictures when you hand them your phone!? Is it not clear that I'm just showing you the one picture on the screen?
This happened to me twice in the last few days. Thank god the next few pics weren't of anything special, but seriously!

That is NOT ok! Whenever I show someone a pic on my phone I never actually hand them the phone, for this very reason. (not that there's anything exciting in there, but still...)

Sometimes people hand me their phone to scroll through a few photos but the minute I scroll to a photo that isn't related to what they were showing me I stop and hand it back. I also don't keep anything so racy/exciting on my phone but still it is super rude to do that!
It's so slow at work today. I talked my coworker into taking a half day of vacation (she still has like 2 weeks to burn). She's been whining about her inlaws a lot so I could use the quiet afternoon and since she's out my boss is assuming I'm slammed doing 2 jobs.
I'm really just thinking about starting to add Christmas items to my Amazon wish list.
