DS's first day of daycare was today (sniff sniff). He only went for half the day so I sent two bottles. He only ate one. Can I send the other bottle with him tomorrow with instructions to use it first, or will it not be good anymore? It came from my freezer stash and was thawed overnight in the fridge, then kept in the fridge at daycare.
Previously frozen milk may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours after it has finished thawing, so if it was not completely thawed when you brought it in to daycare, you could probably still use it for the first feeding.

It wasn't really thawed at all, in fact I had to run it under warm water to break it up enough to get in the bottle and there were still chunks of ice. I'll give it a sniff tomorrow morning just to be sure. Thanks!

This happened to me quite a bit and it was fine for the first bottle of the next day. It's hard to know how much to send, especially when they first start going to DC. So many feelings about that first day!
I should be good - also check with them about their policies. I think that certain daycare regulations regarding breastmilk are more stringent than necessary. My daycare has acknowledged that in some instances the milk is still "good" but they are not allowed to use it.
