Hi everyone! I loved last week's working out thread so I'm advocating for a regular weekly thread for us to check in and stay motivated (I know I need it!). I know our expectations will all differ and will change based on the symptoms we're facing, so the aim is to make personalized short-term goals.
1) What did you do in the past week to keep your body moving? 2) What are you going to challenge yourself to do this week?

Me first.
1) I've been bad and lazy. I didn't jog at all last week. However, yesterday I went for a hike (just a short one - 5 miles) and I felt so fantastic afterwards that I know I've gotta keep moving. 2) I will jog 3 miles at least twice during this week, and hike on Sunday - hopefully 10 miles. I may have to change up the weekend plan if it's icy. Winter is already arriving in the mountains of New England.

1) last week: i did a couple workouts and went for a run a couple runs. Both Sat and Sun I ran 3 miles. 2) this week: today my body definitely needs a rest day, i'll probably do level 2 of the 30ds a couple times and squeeze in a few runs. Can't force myself to the gym yet but it's supposed to be colder by the end of tbe week so that may change.
1) I was pretty sick last week, so I didn't really do much but I did take a nice walk yesterday. 2) This week hopefully I will resume my morning walks... I have been feeling pretty sick in the mornings, but I am hoping some fresh air will help!
titania, when I was pregnant with DD I felt like the days I would force myself to work out I would feel less nauseous. I think working out, even if its something small, definitely helps!

I just chase my 11 month old around. It's pretty effective to keep me moving now that it's starting to cool down, I want to try to take him on more walks.

I've been taking 2 mile walks daily with my dog, but this week I really want to get back into running. I know as log as you were used to doing it before it should be okay, but I'm so nervous! I'll take my dog so he slows me down and we will have to stop, for him to smell ever other blade of grass!
What do you guys think about push-ups? They should be okay in the first tri?

Totally can do push-ups.... even into second tri depending on strength/arm placement/girl pushups.
You can still technically do sit-ups and ab work in first tri if you're comfortable. But pushups, lunges, squats, weights, running, etc... are all still good. As far as running goes, they say as long as you could carry on a conversation you're good. I'm pushing my limits a little less, but still going for it.

Thanks! I'm going to try a super slow jog today. I gotta get my ass back in gear

Super slow jog is my plan today too! I haven't been out in 2+weeks so it'll be interesting...

I literally jogged so slow that this guy from the neighborhood slowed down and was like your dog needs longer legs! He thought the dog was slowing me down

That's awesome! Way to go! Hey, movement is movement. I jogged 2 min/mile slower than my usual time today, but I did it! 3 miles!
(Note to self: find a dog to take jogging with you next time so you can use it as an excuse for why you're going so slowly)

I wish that worked for me! Whenever I take my dog with me, she makes me shave a solid minute of my per mile pace... I only take her when I mean business.

Haha see if I want a good time, I leave my dog at home and walk him later!

Hi ladies. Thanks for highlighting this thread to me frecklesnbrains I definitely want to be part of this!
I have been trying to eat healthy and drink more water the last couple of weeks and plan to continue that. I am also walking the hell out of it so hoping that being active will help my symptoms as well as keep me in line with the recommended weight gain limits. (I went over it with DD1).
