The Walking Dead!!! 10/11 Spoilers!!!

I am sooooo happy TWD is back!!! So many exclamation points!!!11!!!1!!

Who watched last night? What did you think?

I was pretty happy to have them jump right in. Between last season and FTWD this summer, I wanted some action and zombie excitement and they came through. I am interested in where this season is going to go. I am assuming it was the Wolves drawing the zombies back to Alexandria, so I am looking forward to next week to see how all the Alexandria newbs deal with their first big zombie attack. It was interesting in last nights episode to see just how clueless they all are about the reality of the world outside of Alexandria and how ill-equipped they are to protect themselves.

I am also curious to see that Nick character play out (I think his name is Nick). Even though he had Glenn's back, he seems shady. Glenn (understandably) still doesn't trust him one bit. And you have got to trust Glenn's instincts.

It was so good to have the show back, even though it now means I will be suffering from lack of sleep every Monday morning since I always have a hard time sleeping after the show (it amps me up). I thought the episode was great but I think Glenn is too forgiving. I wouldn't even be able to be in the same room as Nick if I were him. I was really surprised that they killed Carter. I have been hearing about Ethan Embry joining the case all summer and then it turned out for him to only be on there for one episode. I couldn't understand why Morgan and Michonne looked so disturbed when Rick killed Carter because that's what had to happen - he had been bitten, was screaming in pain, and would've turned.
I think there is someone from the Wolves that is embedded in Alexandria and that is who was drawing the walkers to Alexandria. I still think that it could be the girl Enid. Or maybe it's Jessie's son Ron. Or maybe Father Gabriel has gone off the deep end and did it.
And is it just me, or was anyone else annoyed with their choice new Judith? I understand that babies grow and they couldn't have used the same one from last season but couldn't they have at least picked a baby that somewhat resembled the old Judith?

I watched it! I thought it was pretty good. At first I didn't like the whole flashback B&W thing, but it grew on me. I liked that we could see what happened at the end of last season without spending too much time there.

I agree that it's probably the Wolves that are drawing the walkers to Alexandria... it will be interesting to see how that plays out. I'm curious how much they will stick to the comics for this... it's not the exact same situation but I can see them drawing ideas from the similar situation in the comics.

The Alexandria residents are so clueless when it comes to dealing with walkers. I was laughing in that one scene when Rick tried to let the Alexandria folks handle the small walker crowd and they had no idea what to do. And then Rick's group swooped in and took down all the walkers in like 10 seconds. At least it seems like many Alexandrians (especially Deanna) have finally acknowledged that they need to listen to Rick.

sleepymonkey - good thoughts about someone from the Wolves being planted in Alexandria. That would be an interesting plot twist! I also noticed that Judith was different and it was a little annoying.

Haha sleepymonkey that's exactly what I said when they brought out the new Judith. I was like "geez they couldn't find a baby that looked even a little bit like the first one?"

I feel like I need to re watch. I did enjoy all the action but Rick's character is still bugging me.

I'm hoping Morgan brings some humanity back to Rick. And I loved that Morgan could see right through Carol's act when no other outsider can.

I liked the episode. Too many commercials though. If you have a 90 min show, then use it up. A couple scenes weren't even a minute long. I'm a little confused as to why Morgan and Machonne were acting strange to Ricks attitude about handling walker situations.

I liked it. I didn't love it. I feel like I need to watch it over again. I am really happy it is back though. TWD is a show I will watch through to the end no matter what!

I feel like the horn is the Wolves. I think they were watching the group deal with the walkers and wanted to sabotage it. At first I thought it was one of the Alexandrians trying to sabotage because they don't like Rick except it was only supposed to be a dry run so I don't know that anyone within the walls of Alexandria has figured out the situation yet.

Though the giant death quarry makes sense though as to why Alexandria hasn't had to really defend themselves. I kind of hate most everyone in there though. They really have no fucking idea how to handle themselves. I think they are dangerous to have around. They are just going to fuck things up and get people killed.

They could not have cast a better Heath. I swear, it is like he walked right out of the comic and onto the show. Seeing how he is one of my favorite characters, I am so giddy to see him brought to life.

I really liked last night's episode. At first, I was annoyed because I was totally lost the first 5-10 mins but I loved how they tied everything together as the episode progressed. I also loved that the flashbacks were in black and white. I'm not sure if it was an intentional nod to the comics but it was pretty cool.

While I don't agree with the fact that they are keeping the guy who killed Noah, Maggie had a good point when she was explaining it to Tasha. Real talk, Tasha is semi-responsible for Hershel's death and Maggie has every reason to hate her, but in a world gone mad, sometimes you just have to let shit go. The guy is a total dick but in reality, he is scared because the Alexandrian's are so clueless and ill-prepared. I mean, the contrast between Rick's group and the Alexandrian's when confronted with the walkers while building the fence was night and day.

I was super bummed when Ethan Embry's character died because I really like him as an actor. I was also annoyed at Michonne & Morgan's reaction when Rick killed him. A bite to the arm/leg can be dealt with (possibly) but his face was half gone. There was no saving him. And his panicked screams were drawing in walkers. Rick did what had to be done and I hate that they threw all that shade at him. Rick has stated a million times that he is not above doing anything to save his people and he is really one of the only ones willing to do what is necessary. It isn't always pretty but it needs to be done.

I am really excited to see what this season has in store.

kawaiikitsune I hated the shade they threw at Rick too! He got his face ripped off and was losing his ever loving shit. Killing him had to be done. I was bummed too though. I was happy to see him on the show because I like him as an actor. I didn't think they'd boot him so quickly!

Just catching up! I am not sold on the idea that the Wolves are the horn blowers; we'll have to see but I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone in Alexandria freaking out. Agree to loving that Morgan is wise to Carol; also agree with wth for shade throwing at Rick.
I loved the presentation in b&w of past events and the current in color. I was very pleased with the episode.
