I'm having a hard time with the pp bleeding and what to use for it. When the bleeding was heavier, I used Depends but then figured they weren't necessary as it slowed and they began to irritate my lady parts. Now, I'm using pads and they're just further irritating me but what other options are there? I think I'm using Always pads and they've never given me issues before now. Are there other brands that are more...sensitive?
Always infinity with TUCKS on top. That was my goto with Lo.

Are you light enough that you can use a panty liner? I was feeling irritated with pads too and switched to liners - much better!!

Well that was fun. I had to explain to the teenager working at Target what Colace was. I had F with me and did not feel like combining the aisles looking for it. I guess he learned something new today.

This is what I had to do also. I was getting raw from the pads
The pp bleeding has been weird - sometimes it's clotty gross stuff, and sometimes it seems to be coming from my tear site, but I can't tell for sure. I'm using the peri bottle every day, which I love.
As for undies, I've been hand washing the hospital mesh undies (they actually clean up really easily), then wearing those, with a pad, lined with Tucks, and an Always adult bladder control diaper thing on top. It's pretty comfortable, and makes me feel "contained".
That's a great idea. Wish I thought of that before I threw them all away.
Anyone have a good nursing bra recommendation? I have sleeping ones that I love for around the house that are almost like sports bras, but under clothes my boobs look squished and terrible.
ETA: I've always worn push up bras with underwire, even pregnant. So all these really soft unstructured nursing bras aren't doing it for me.
Bravado!! The style I like has an elastic band that's just as supportive as underwire.
I'd estimate maybe golf ball sized maybe a bit larger. Certainly not huge but my bleeding has picked up the last two day too.
I don't remember passing clots this late last time.
I passed a lot of clots that size with my first. I could actually feel them come out which was freaky. My OB said it was normal when I called. She said to watcg for soaking a pad in an hour or really big clots. It seems normal but call your OB just to be sure.

rondosa I was told call if it's golf ball size or larger. I'd be slightly concerned this late in the game. Hopefully you just overdid it a little and things calm down!

+1, I was given the same instruction. Hope it's NBD!

km380 my OB said to use the squirt bottle and gently wipe. He said I could also shower after if I felt like that cleaned better. After both of my deliveries I felt the same way you describe for bowel movements. It is miserable but gets better.
Fun new symptom here. Kind of related to the pee question I read earlier in the thread. My discomfort is when actually peeing. You know how normally as you finish its a feeling of relief? Well lately mine almost feels like a pressure towards the end and is really uncomfortable as I finish peeing. I did some google searching and see that it can be common after a CS because things were all moved around and such, just wondering if anyone else is in my boat.
I had that feeling from 1-3 weeks postpartum. I think I was doing to much activity and the bladder muscles were strained from delivery. It got better and now there is no discomfort. I think @usernamesarehard had the same feelings.
@usernamesarehard, baby brain happens to all of us! I didn't think my town would have them in stores and the only reason I found them is because I went to the baby store looking for cloth diapers!
Nordstrom might also be a good place to look if you have one close by. I don't know if they carry Bravado but they might carry other brands that you can try on and see how they fit.
It sounds really crazy, but also ask L&D about the hospital shops/gift shops around you. One of the hospitals by me has a nursing accessory specific store and the other one has a HUGE nursing bra selection in the back of the gift shop if you ask about it. I wouldn't have known it was there if someone hadn't told me about it. Another good resource for the shops that carry them might be your local la leche league. I know around me there are a bunch of places that I wouldn't have known about if it weren't for word of mouth.
Kind of random question. How long does the post partum cramping last? I can't remember how long it lasted last time, but this time they are more painful than most of my contractions during labor!

Yes. My OB said they are more intense with each delivery. Mine lasted 5 days, maybe a week.
Squishy622, thinkingoutloud, pambeesley: I have a bravado question. I ordered the one with underwire and it just got here. I got a B/C because I was a C cup pre pregnancy and a large C cup during pregnancy. The cups are HUGE. I'm not sure on what planet someone that wears a B could fit into that. So my question is, is the sizing weird on all their bras before I order another one in a smaller size, or is it just that one? And also, which style do you recommend? I may order more than one type this time.
I have the Bravado Bliss. I wear a 34DD and have the 36 D/E. The cups do seem huge, but when wearing it, it fits perfectly. I want to say Nordstrom does carry them, but I got mine at a Once Upon a Child (check if you have one near you).

This was for me too. More intense this time but thankfully they faded quicker, gone after about 5days.

Thanks so much for your response! Definitely more intense with each delivery! A week sounds about right. I couldn't remember and they are starting to drive me a little crazy!
So I thought my bleeding was pretty much done and then today there was a decent amount of bright red blood in my pad. I am 4 weeks out. Normal or concerning? It wasn't enough to fill the pad but definitely more than spotting.
Same. I was pretty much done, then, BAM, more this week.
Ok anyone having hip pain? I feel better when I wear the binder but man I don't remember them hurting after pregnancy. I am also having sciatic pain now which I didn't threw the pregnancy this time.. Weird?
