I don't have any experience but we have a Tula. It has been personally recommended to me and reviews are really good. I also like that it keeps its resell value.
Tulas typically keep resale value really well. So as long as you're ok selling later, it might be worth the higher investment up front
I splurged on a Tula for this one and we have a Lilebaby from #1. I figured I'll see which one I like more and sell the other one.
I have a tula (actually 2). I like them for the exact reason above. They really hold their value. You can easily resell them when you are done. They are also easy to put on and to use (front or back carry).

We got a tula on the babywearing on a budget Facebook group. Still need to get an infant insert for it though and they seem to be somewhat difficult to find second hand. But I agree, I love the fact that the tula holds its value so well.

cheeseandrice, do you liek the lillebaby? That is the one I'm considering but I don't know anyone personally who owns one to ask about it.
We used it with Lo and really liked it! She didnt' love being carried, so I didn't use it super often. But both H and I used it and it was really comfortable.
I would also recommend looking at Lenny lamb. I got a Tula before I knew much about LL but now I wished I'd gotten the LL instead. It's similar to the wrap conversion Tulas that are a lot more expensive. I just feel overwhelmed and overheated with the Tula and the insert right now but I do think it will be really good later on, I just don't see it being my go-to for at least another few months.

*creepy lurker from F15*
Just to throw another option in the mix - I love my chimparoo trek. It's made from woven wrap material, so it doesn't seem to get as hot (it still does a little, but I've heard others say it's lighter than canvas tulas, ergos, etc). Also, you can cross the straps in the back, which I really like. I think it's more comfortable crossed. Finally, there's a built-in infant insert, which rolls up in a little pocket when you no longer need it.
Since we are on the topic. I know there are a few different kinds of ergo carriers and was wondering which ones people have and like. I was contemplating the performance or 360. The 360 just seems like it doesn't do much more for the price.
In case anyone was wondering (which I kind of doubt, but I'm bored so why not bump the thread anyway?), I ended up ordering a Tula. After some further soul searching I realized that was what I was really wanting and you ladies are right, the resale value would offset the difference in cost if I sell it later on. It is supposed to arrive on Friday and I'm super excited to try it out!
Also, I have no actual experience with either carrier lepeters but I did come across this on Lucie's List when I was trying to decide what carrier I wanted and decided the 360 probably wasn't for me:
aylafsu1881 @tmg14 The print was a really tough decision but I went with Navigator. I ran several by DH and that was his favorite of the ones currently available that I showed him. I very nearly went with Sidekick.
Those are both good choices! I like Navigator a lot.

So I started with an Ergo with DS. By 5 months he was bigger than I was comfortable with, because he would throw himself backwards and I was afraid he would fall out. I sold my Ergo and got a Tula, or 3! I was still wearing my almost 2 year old on my due date.
