My almost 4 year old is on my mind today! I'm so ready to blow this Popsicle stand that is the hospital and get home to him and bring my new baby home to his house. I just want to be a family of 4 at home so badly! We ended up having to stay a fourth night in the hospital because ds's circ was having trouble clotting and even though they still said we could go home, I thought that was silly when we could stay and have someone watch it all night. Anyway, DH's parents are home with DS so we will let them hang a bit with baby today. Tomorrow will be spent settling in as "the 4 of us"
It's turned super cold here this weekend, brr! I busted out the fleece lined jeans for DS1 to wear to the park.
Also the chest clip just broke on our infant bucket. I'm so pissed off what am I supposed to do now? It's barely out of its 2 year warranty. I hate this seat anyways but I don't want to buy a new one just for that. Argh.
Today is our anniversary! We have no plans today other than errands. Last night we had sex for the first time in a long time. I don't think it did a damn thing other than cause me pain. I felt no cramping or anything. Did I do it wrong? Lol.

I don't know what the brand is, but you should just be able to call the customer service number and they will send you a new chest clip. It would definitely suck to have to buy a new one at this point, but at least now you know what not to buy!

Happy anniversary lovesowls!
We went to Fleet Farm at the crack of dawn because they were giving away free toy trucks. It is an annual tradition in our house. Then stopped at Starbucks for breakfast. Now just getting stuff done around the house. DS has soccer at noon then we are going to a friend's house for an early dinner. I'm excited for this since I don't have to cook!
katie0919 enjoy going home... it really is such a good feeling! Has DS1 met little brother yet or will it be the first time when you guys get home?
rondosa that sucks!! Can you buy a replacement buckle? I would be so pissed too.
He met him on Thursday afternoon! We had him come up to the hospital and our photographer came and took "fresh48" photos. my older son loves his baby bother....it went so much better than I thought it would!

cnbpa3027 @boxeriffic ya I've sent them an email and will call on Monday too. Our convertible has an infant insert but we only have one so I guess I get to leave the toddler at home? Lol
It's a maxi cosi Prezi and honestly I hate it. It's big and heavy and while it's super safe, I pinch his neck EVERY TIME. EVERY. TIME. Same with DS1 when he was using it. It's the worst.
I have a sleeping baby on my chest. All is right with the world. The little stinker let us sleep 4 hours consecutively this morning after partying until 3am. I never thought I would actually brag about 4 hours of sleep!
MH and I may hit a brewery today. We are staying with my inlaws until everything wth the adoption is straight, and it's sooo nice to have help... We want to take advantage of the doting babysitters while we have them! Andplusalso mama needs a drink.

I must have missed the fact you guys are able to stay with in laws. I've been worried about you guys staying at an extended stay or something. Glad you have family to lean on.

Aww, yea! We are soooo lucky that our BM is local to our family and some friends. MH and I have actually talked about how difficult everything would be in some random state where we knew no one. We've really hit the jackpot, it's the next best thing from home. Thank you for thinking of us!

Hola. My sister and I went for pedicures but the lady was crazy. My sister has this hang nail on her big toe and asked her not to touch it. But the lady kept arguing and wouldn't let go of her foot. We both eventually stood up and walked out. It was weird.
So now I'm at home on the La-Z-Boy with a big mug of raspberry leaf tea and a fire in the fireplace.

cheeseandrice that happens to me all the time!! Usually they stop but it takes a few times of me yelling "ow" & asking them to leave it alone. Happy anniversary @justplanelove!!
I had a frustrating morning. Cx were 5-6 min apart for almost an hour. So H & I headed to L&D. I didn't call me OB, which pissed off the on call OB. I just figured we're only 5 min away from the hospital & my OB told me to go in if they were 5-7 min apart. I had a cx on the way to the hospital then they slowed down. And I haven't dilated any more (was almost 2 at last 3 appts). So they sent me home. Awesome. So now I'm relaxing, trying to get DD to convince H to take us out for lunch & I have vegetarian chili in the crockpot.
I love watching 5 year olds play basketball. Well mostly mine, lol we are at the game now. His improvement from finding out about the hearing loss till now is soooo impressive! He can actually run in a strait line with out falling over now. And he is actually one of the best kids on the team now. I'm a proud mama.
After the game I have to go to Costco and to get my phone fixed, then off to the little sprinkle my friends throwing me, so I'm getting excited about that.
I'm so excited that tomorrow we have NOTHING, I repeat nothing for the first time since before we were a family of five. So we are doing our first family lazy day. I am super excited about it. (Although half way threw i will be bored and want to do something lol!)
I had a total meltdown yesterday evening. Took the baby to the doctor yesterday morning, he's lost weight, so the doctor told me to supplement an ounce after every feeding. Thought I was doing OK with it, then he WOULD NOT wake up after pictures. I stripped him down, kept wiping a cold wet washcloth over him, putting the syringe of formula in his mouth. My husband mentioned he looked more yellow. Then I just freaked out. Uncontrollable crying. Made my husbands aunt, an OB nurse come over. Of course by the time she got there, he was eating and awake.
I can see now he's doing fine and just needs help until he can be more efficient.

How much longer until lo is yours and we can see pictures? Is everything still lined up and just waiting for the dots and crosses?
As it stands right now, if all goes as planned, he will legally be ours on Monday at 5pm; BM is set to sign paperwork either today or tomorrow. Once that happens, another waiting period happens where A's birth state talks to our home state to confirm we can travel with him across state lines; this will likely take a week but could take two, just depends.
I'm a nervous wreck and am having really dark thoughts about the potential of this falling through- if she changed her mind, he would be so loved by her, but would not have much else in terms of home and opportunities. I hate thinking this way because I understand that she has every right to change her mind... But now that we've had time to bond, my maternal instincts are really kicking in and I can't imagine not brining A home. It literally makes me sick to think about. His future is just so bright with us, and I try to remember that the BM picked us and also set the guidelines of contact of what she wants- that we are all in this together. Once she signs we agreed to help financially with some aspects of getting her back on her own two feet; so I'm hoping that I'm just over analyzing and things will continue to go smoothly. There's nothing indicating it won't other than my own fears; I know she wants more for him than what she can provide (her own words, not mine). Pesky brain...

ETA: I can post pictures in about a month. I probably could do it after Monday (technically), but agreed with our agency I wouldn't for the first 30 days.
db7211 oh my goodness, what a scare! I can't imagine how that must have felt... I am so sorry for the worry but am so glad your LO is okay. And man oh man, are those pictures adorable! (Hugs)
@mommybrainisreal trichie5 thank you so much! I'm thinking it will be the ultimate throw back Thursday when I CAN post pics.... Since he's gonna be so much bigger 30 days from now I'm sad I can't share sooner! He is soooooo cute. Ugh first world problems

Hi everyone. We went to the farm and got pumpkins, cider, donuts, fritters and delicious jams. I decorated for Halloween and put together some baby toys. Now I'm exhausted so I'm laying on the couch watching tv.
nobb14 I'm so excited for you to take home that little boy! FX all continues to go smoothly. db7211 I'm sorry you had that scare. Those pics are awesome!
MK and I made it a point to take the pupper dog to the park this AM since her world is about to change dramatically. Then we went and got pedicures (first for MK!), and now we're just watching football.
I HAVE to unpack and repack my hospital bag at some point today, but I have absolutely no motivation. How's that for denial..
If it makes you feel better, I haven't packed a hospital bag at all. The level of denial going on over here kind of takes it to a whole new level.

The chest clip holder broke on DD's Britax advocate not too long ago. I sent photos to Britax and they sent me a replacement part right away. It might be worth it to contact the manufacturer.

randomosity walking around a festival & sampling wine sounds amazing right now! Sorry your IL's are messing up your house. If they're going to be there & annoy you, the should at least clean. Are they helpful at all? (you know, besides the amazing singing )
Eating chili. I let DD have 1.5 corn muffin & some shredded cheddar cheese for dinner. I'm pretty sure my parents let me do the same thing when they had chili. Edit: words are not my friend today.

Took the big to Disney Princesses on Ice today since she's been such a rockstar big sis. Was so fun to have some special time with her. I've been a lifelong Disney fanatic and it was extra special to be sitting there with my arm around my girl, sharing that magic with her and seeing it in her eyes.
In other exciting news, I'm cooking dinner tonight!!! You guys probably don't know this about me but I'm a huge foodie. Cooking and baking make me feel alive, really very little makes me happier. But not when I'm pregnant, at all. The complete opposite. Now that my passion is back, I'm dying to get back to it!
I'm so bored. Cleaned the whole house today, did all the laundry and went grocery shopping. DH keeps asking me if I'm going into labor tonight. You know, because I can predict these things.

Right? 'Can you have the baby tomorrow?' Sure dude. I'll get right on that.
